    "The Crimson Pirate" can kiss my hairy, sun-burnt pirate butt. If I ever meet Burt Lancaster, it will be a short visit--because I'll drop a bunch of cargo on his head or something. I don't know. I'll have to think about it more, but I guarantee you it will be pirate-y.

    I haven't seen this film yet, but it might be good. Ah, who am I kiddin'? It's going to suck big time...

    YARRR!!!

    The Seabeaver just scored a whole bunch of 2.13 x 2.75 black and white classic style Seabeaver logo stickers today.

    As you can see, we went with the traditional look. So many of you just agreed on that design, that we decided to run with it!

    If you're interested, send me a private message with your mailing address so I can hook you up with some. (It's best to message us at redbeard@seabeaver.net.) We hope that you'll choose to place them somewhere visibly out in the open, as our intention is to gain more and more exposure.     Ahoy!

    The captain posted this on MySpace, but then he remembered that there's an excellent pirate community here that can offer valuable insight. The Seabeaver is looking to develop some stickers (classic b&w) that we'll be giving away for free in the future for advertisement purposes. Nothing too detailed--just keepin' it simple. Right now we have four concept ideas, and we were hoping people could vote and decide which ones they like best. We might make some alterations, but this is what we have so far...

    Pirate board game reviews

    Personally, I bought Pirate's Cove from Days of Wonder on a whim and it has supplied quite a few fun nights.  The advantage to this game is that it has relatively simple rules and a limited time.  There are only 12 turns to the game.  At the end of 12 turns, whoever has the highest fame wins...makes for enjoyable play that prevents "Risk" like occasions where 2 or 3 people get knocked out right away and have to wait 3 hours for the other 2 or 3 to finish the game.  We can get 2 or 3 games of Pirate's Cove in a night.

    I actually have a friend who swears by this game and thinks it's one of the most fun things he has ever played. He's really huge into gaming, so I'll take him at his word. Out of a joke, he even gave the Seabeaver a little recognition by making his very own playing card for our ship...

    Nevertheless, Bilgemunky's got a lot of good reviews on other pirate games.

    Okay, I know, don't believe everything you read, but in a magazine it said Keira is quite the diva on set. She's very difficult to work with, does not want the crew to make eye contact with her, has to have her hair and make-up always around so she's the most attractive person on set.

    Due to several unfortunate accidents involving actual "seasickness" from the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, IMAX theaters will be providing umbrellas to all landlubbers during the open ocean scenes for the next two POTC films.

    POTC 2 & 3 Rumors

    I just made up...

    * Due to personal health reasons, Gore Verbinski (director of the original Pirates of the Caribbean film) has resigned as director for the remaining POTC sequels. In his place, Disney has hired Kevin Smith (of “Clerks / Jay & Silent Bob” fame) to take the helm.

    * After days of hiding from the media circuit, Orlando Bloom has finally admitted that he truly doesn’t know what the difference between a wood elf and a pirate is.

    * The title of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie will not be "Dead Man's Chest" as so eagerly anticipated. Instead, the theatrical release will simply be known as "Pirates of the Caribbean 2: When Booty Calls".

    * The upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean film will feature the new hit single by the Backstreet Boys: "Yo Ho Baby, I Love You".

    * Before POTC 2 actually shows in theaters, Walt Disney Studios will premier a teaser trailor for their latest ride themed live-action movie: "The Tiki Room".

    * Geoffrey Rush will definitely be back for the next two sequels. However, he will not appear as the Deadly Barbosa (who died in the first film). Instead, he will play the role of "Mikey", Jack Sparrow's futuristic time traveling buddy.

    * According to a reliable resource, endorsement products for Pepsi Cola, Taco Bell, and Hertz Rent-a-Car will be strategically scattered on the Black Pearl.

    * It is estimated that the cost of POTC 2 will reach over 100 million dollars--20 million towards actors, 10 million towards film production, and 70 million for mascara.

    *Bootstrap Bill--who was never seen in the first movie--will make a cameo in POTC 3 as the crazy, haggard merchant who sells only sandals and flip-flops.

    * Actor Johnny Depp has already begun killing several members of the POTC production crew, after violent storms began to delay principal photography last month.

    *Captain Jack Sparrow's love interest in POTC 2 will be played by the hilariously talented comedienne, Sandra Bernhard.

    * A TV series spin-off, starring the monkey "Jack", is in network negotiations at ABC.

    * Disney plans to release 27 more Pirates of the Caribbean features that are straight-to-video.

    * Do to the popular success of the first film, Walt Disney theme parks will tear down their old Pirates of the Caribbean ride in order to make room for their new showcase exhibit featuring nothing but pictures of Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley.

    TimeSplitters: Future Perfect

    Message to any video game fanatics out there.

    If you like shoot-em-up games and are sick of Halo, I strongly suggest getting TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. This is the 3rd game in the TimeSplitters franchize, and the people who made this were the same ones that made Goldeneye 64 for the Nintendo. (One of the best shooters ever). Nevertheless, TimeSplitters is famous for its off-beat humor. (You can play as a monkey and shoot people down with sawed-off shotguns).

    Nevertheless, this new TimeSplitters game allows you to unlock "Captain Shivers", a real awesome bearded pirate! When me mates and I unlocked this character, we were exstatic. Now we can't wait to play multi-player and run around as peg-legged pirates shooting people with lazer guns and rocket launchers! YARRR!!!
