I agree Lady Barbossa. Me dad laughs and thinks I'm being silly until I remind him of his obsession with NASCAR. Ye can't even sit down in his house without sitting on a diecast. I least I get go sailing instead of sitting on me arse in a bleacher.

diving for toliets?
Well, I guess if GWB was your past governor, that may be all ye have left to dive off the coast for. I prefer the clearer waters of the caribbean meself. Better view.

Arrr.... could be, could be...
Or, could be nothin' more than Treasure Island and the Bay Bridge blockin' it all!
You would think a good captain would realize that and not "sail" or motor into such an area for a sea battle.

That was fun. It was interesting to see how many answered the question "how many fingers on your right hand?" wrong.

Aye, it was beautiful. There wasn't much wind in the mornin', but by the time us aboard the Royaliste saw you all on the other side of the bay bridge, we had caught a ton of wind and were heeled over beautifully making our run into Sausalito. Noticed the Lady had her heads'ls and squares down off in the distance... the wind must not have made it over there.
That's because the Royaliste stole all the wind or maybe the wind gods just love the Royaliste's figurehead too much to share.

I would easily sell my house for such a boat, but I don't think me mate as gotten a full bite from bug yet. I keep telling him, those boys are ours hit college and we don't redecorate their rooms, we sell the house and buy a boat to live on. He keeps thinking I'm kidding.

Nah, she be just a young lass at 14. But boy will her mom & dad have their hands full when she's 16.

I'm dreaming on my own Land Shark.
Just like the one at "Tales of the Seven Seas".
I would sail it swiftly,
in the APS Light parade.
And ask all my pirate friends to come along.
Oh, I'm dreaming on my own Land Shark.
Just wish I could get Hubby to go along.
It would be so pretty
but not as good as the original
but soon the Land Shark would be,
the flag ship of the fleet.

Quill,
I think ye be needin to contact Lynn at the Grays Harbour Historical Society. She be the one who schedules all the sails for the Lady and HC. Ye can reach her at 1-800-200-Lady.
Talking to her crew does little good with the limited time a person has to crew. The day I sailed with her, the Lady was under command of a "guest" captain (dressed in modern garb). It was clear he wasn't as well versed as his first mate (who was wearing a HMS Surprise tshirt with a Amistad jacket) who in turn wasn't as well versed as the Bosun (only one in pirate garb).
It be best to talk directly to Lynn. Good luck in the communications department.

Tis the power of suggestion that makes a great film maker. But alas, M&C was up against LOTR to be recognized this year. Maybe Peter Weir will make another M&C movie.

Lovely as usual Quill. The skirting definitely adds to the lovely Land Shark. I noticed ye be wearing that fine red pirate shirt of yours too. Tis your color.

I just got back from plunderin with RhumbaRue and crew. I found me new name too. Alas I forgot me camera. Luckily, durty Lilly brought hers. So look fer her to be postin soon.

Me sailing instructor told it be his favorite. (I thinks he is favorite be the ship in the movie, not the movie itself.) I be catchin pieces of it ever since on the HBO channels. Everything seems to be coming up pirates.

Lad,
Ye need not be "agin" a fine pirate frock. Where it everywhere and time will take care of the rest. Enjoy a fine gatherins without a care for the wear. But if ye rush it, ye will have less time to enjoy it. Mark my words.

oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhh
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I love em all.

I agree that if ye set the rules, ye should follow them as well. That said, all tall ships are ambassadors to their kind. They spark imagination in everyone who sees them. That spark helps all of them.

Thar be a right fun game called Pirateer, the game o' outrageous fortune. (www.pirateer.com). I used to play it when I was just a wee pirate, and enjoyed it much. It can be played by one and all, bein' a game o' naval strategy and fun. Basically, the goal o' the game is to get the booty. A right fine goal if ye ask me. Unfortunately, I can't find a place to purchase it, and their website is "under construction until 2004." Good luck, mate.
Aye, I just plundered me said game from local toy store. It were in the clearance section for a mere song (less than $20). I think I am lucky as the local owner be kinda of a pirate fan herself. Thankfully, me neighbors haven't quite caught on and now she be marking down her toys.

Tis a beautiful dress. Ye will need a large cutlass to keep the boys at bay while wearing it.
