  1. Arrrgh..I missed that show.Wonder if it's available on tape? Does anybody have a copy?

I work for a Dr.Kidd. Probably no relation as Capt.Kidd had daughter (s?)

I asked him once and he said there were three Kidd's outta New York that he could be related to and the Capt. bein' one of them. So,I don't know.

  2. Anybody know where a Calico Jack ring could be found? I'm lookin' fer a ring with the skull and crossed swords. Made like a claddagh, so the image kinda wraps around the finger. Anybody know who could make it for me?

Any help would be kindly appreciated!

    Thanks!

  3. You're a pirate not an idiot!

    Sez who?

OK maybe I'm wrong?! Is that unserwear on your head?!

No that would be me husband...sorry, that's from a post from a while back.

Actually, I'm having the whole summertime coat dilemma me self.

They have an outdoor film festival here hosted by the TV station my husband works for an they're showin POTC. I've been asked to come and give the kids pirate "tattoos" and talk about pirate-y stuff...They want me to wear the whole outfit....yeesh...it's in July...in Alabama heat.... B)

  4. I wonder if the producers had been serious about "banishing" the ones that didn't adhere to the mores o' the era they were suppose to be in would have kicked up a fuss about their 21st century ideals?

I bet they would've kept their yaps shut if they knew they'd been kicked off the show.

I mean, the gay guy coming out was the equivalent of somebody pulling out a playstation or a hair dryer. It kills me how whiney these folks get on these shows and how individualistic they want to be.

    TV.....yeesh!

A pirate reality show? Long days of drunken boredom on the seas followed by some quick, frantic, violent activity, a spending spree at the nearest port then back to long drunken boredom for days, weeks on end.............................I am so there.

  5. Aye, I remember it well...I was 14 years old an' lookin' in the library at a collection o' illustrators....two words, me friends....Howard Pyle! I started collectin' his pirate books...then in 'bout 1977 or so ELP did that great pirate piece on the album "Works Vol.1" and them bein' one of me favorite bands....I was inspired to join up and learn all I could 'bout the brotherhood an' the sweet trade....Ah....makes me want to go out an' plunder somethin....

  8. I saw Kevin Smith's Cap'n Scurvy on Mad TV last night. It was pretty funny. There was some pirate references on "Scrubs" a couple of episodes ago.

The best was in the cafeteria line and a guy was looking at the main character and saying "No, I don't think pirates are cool" and the main character looked at him and said "Then... you're not cool..." and he pondered pirates throughout the program...

  9. Hunting Hawk, thanks for the advice. Thanks kinda what I have done in the past...They turned out OK but are getting a bit worn out as I can detach the top and use them for everyday boots.

    Harbour Master,

Thanks for your link as well. The problem isn't shoe size but leg circumference. I have pretty but plump legs and that's the problem.

    Thanks for the link, though.

I must say I am impressed by the speed and amount of help one gets from the pyratical community here!!!

Thanks again and here's to ya! B)
