They do have the loop on the brim and the "nipple" on top. Here is a picture of the caps. The pictures all show the brims folded up. I am not very good at the technology piece of attaching pictures so I hope I did it right.

Monmouth caps are historically accurate from the 15th -18th centuries depending on your persona and region. This is my take on the Monmouth cap. I knit them out of 100% natural wool (which means they are not dyed) These caps are not felted. I have them on hand in a variety of natural colors and sizes. I also do custom color orders on request.
