I liked Band of Pirates, it's classical with a twist...what I mean is -- it's no big budget hollywood film, but hey, it still has all the fun and adventure of other pirate favorites and the production value is good for low budget indie fair. There's no special effects, but there are some fun characters and amazing scenery. there's two versions, a family version and a mature version - which are nearly the same except the mature version has some tastful nudity in it. I watched the family version with some friends and their kids - the kids loved it - loved Capt. Black and the Guthries, it's treasure island with a twist...there's no gore or horror - it's straight up pirates chasing treasure fun...and worthy of being added to my pirate movie collection.
