  1. Spent a few hours with a friend making a new shoulder bag, knife sheath, head covers for my boarding axe and a frog for my axe.

Made a small chest for practice. Painting will be finished later this week.

  2. My new hat and short jacket

Oh man! That's great! I really want a short jacket. Did you make that yourself?

    Thanks!

I bought the hemp canvas, osnaberg and paterns for the shirt, jacket and trousers from Reconstructing History and the buttons from Greg (GoF) Anything visable is hand sewn including the button holes. My mother-in-law did all of the sewing for me. (she really likes me)

I dyed the jacket using products from Dharma Trading Company. The hemp canvas shrunk a lot when washing out the dye. The sleeves are about 2" to short now but it dosen't really bother me.

  3. One of me "non-captain" kits. Comments? Chides? Lauds?

    How about freaking awesome!!!

Outfits like that or similar, fall into my absolute favourite as far as appearances go for pirate re-enacting!

I agree! You look great! That's the look I hope to attain.

  4. I believe I received J8ksdad's cards yesterday.... Since I don't know this person's real name, nor what part of the country he is from, and he is the only other person I have given my address to (except for Patrick), I am going to assume they were J8ksdad'c cards... :P

So far, all the cards I have received look great!!!

My name is Scott Hatlestad and I'm from Escondido, CA. Mine look like this on the back:
