This sword was taken from the book "The Era of the American Revolution". These swords varied with the wealth and the taste of those who carried them. This one is designed with two sheaths on the scabbard located just under the sword's clam shell which contain an eating knife and fork. The clam shell prevents loss of the utensils but still allows them to be seen even when the sword is sheathed. All grips are made from polished black horn. The double edged blade is made from fine sword steel and has an 18" fuller centered on its 25" length. The eating knife is shaped like a hunting knife with its 5&1/2" blade and could be used as such. All hardware is brass. Because of …

I've put a special offer on easy to tear Paper tubes on my Civil War site. These are my 60-80 gr capacity tubes. I'll be doing something similar with my larger tubes for big musket and Blunderbuss loads. That offer will be posted on the Pirate site when it's ready.

Hello you creative mates o'mine, I am trying to get back a bit of my life and am starting in small ways. I am playing my Bodhran again but find a need for a bit of wrist support since the surgery. I am looking for a wrist brace two inches and maybe a little more wide that is not so stiff as to not be flexable. When I get to drumming I fly! It cannot be a lacing style but with SECURE snaps or ??? I'd like it carved with a more lifelike Seahorse and or some really nice Celtic knot work... soft browns and greens or... ?? Anyway, I thought I'd give you Pirates the first shot as it were.. Any ideas anyone?

I found a ship's doctor kit, complete with provenance dating it to the early/mid 1800s on eBay. It's too pricey for my collection and it's a little too far from GaOP, but it's still really neat. It gives a small insight into how ship's surgeon's kits were designed. Check it out here.

I am now making bronze blunderbuss pistols. They are a boxlock so a more modern flintlock however for somebody looking to carry a pistol around at an event all day they are wonderful due to their light weight and size. I have taken a few pictures of my personal piece (the others have already sold) and will be taking orders. I can change the stock slightly making it smaller or larger, the belt hook was added on mine and can be added for an extra $50 as it is welded and an integral part of the pistol. One quality that makes these nice is that everything from the band to the end of the barrel is one piece of bronze (nothing to rust). Price is $550 with a $200 deposit. …
