Wanted: gunner's tools

I've got a gunners level and gunners calipers in my own collection. I also have a French Sector that was apparently used for gunnery calculations.

I had one of the gunners levels in my shop but unfortunately it sold pretty much immediately. I will keep my eye out for another and let you know if I get one.

I should have some wooden gunners tools up in my shop soon though

Somewhat different than the illustrations shown above there is a Gunner's Quadrant photo on page 163 in Battle At Sea, 3000 Years of Naval Warfare by R.G. Grant.

Caption - "Gunner's Quadrant: A quadrant was used to determine the elevation of a gun's barrel. A spirit level attached to the pivot arm marked the horizontal, while a plumb-bob measured the required angle"

However there is no date listed as to the circa of this particular instrument. :(
