  1. If you have a Claire's in your mall...as odd as it sounds check there....and Hot Topic is awesome for that kind of thing too. My husband found some clip hoops from Claire's that are awesome and don't look clip at all....but they would need to be modified to add a skull.
  2. Yes, but only Disney would charge $129 for a noose to go around your neck. And yes I thought it was a diaper pin too!
  3. Anyone setting sail to the GLMF for Pirates Weekend July 29 & 30?
  4. Probably even better if I log in first! ^^^ post up thar be mine!
  5. Definate stop for pirate decor this season. It took me awhile to pull my hubby out of there....told him once the deck was done he could ot he pirate bar out there!
  6. I would like to buy this for my husband as an addition to his garb...but where would I find a holder or some way of carrying it beyond sticking it in his sash? TIA~ Kat
  7. The wee pirate in our crew just picked a pair of these up for $30 (roughly) and they made a great addition to her garb for the cost. They are from Payless and come in a tan as well. Just thought I'd share :) Kat
  8. I know ye prefer online, but my husband found his at Claire's/Icing a few years back when we were down at the Ohio Ren Fest, but I'm sure all of them have them. They aren't magnetic, but rather a spring that moves the piece back to tighten it on the ear. They had several styles like this but the husband went with various size hoops. G'luck in ye search~ Kat
  9. Me & me crew be setting sail for the Michigan Ren Fest this year. Wonderin' if any of you have been or will be setting sail thar' this year. Any Festival sponsored by Guinness has to be worth the drive!
  10. Me sailin' dates have been set....we be headin out July 16 & Aug. 6 (unable to make the pirate invasion this year  ) I will keep me good eye out fer ye. We be it?

I be willin' to do some work to put it together, if thar be the interest. Mostly be lookin fer mates in invade some local Faires with etc. (Pitt Ren Faire & GLMF) Send me a msg in a bottle or just respond and I'll gauge it from thar. Katerine
  12. Will any of ye be makin yer way to GLMF, other than Callenish Gunner (who already answered me in the raids forum), this year? It doesn't seem I'll be makin it fer Pirates weekend, thou I be plannin two other weekends to invade. Maybe we could be makin some aquaintances thar.
  13. What be better than a Parrot Joke...an old favorite: So there's this fella with a parrot. And this parrot swears like a sailor - I mean he's a pistol. He can swear for 5 minutes straight without repeating himself. Trouble is, the guy who owns him is a quiet, conservative type, and this bird's fowl mouth is driving him crazy. One day, it gets to be too much, so the guy grabs the bird by the throat, shakes him really hard, and yells, "QUIT IT!". But this just makes the bird mad and he swears more than ever. Then the guy gets mad and says, "OK for you!" and locks the bird in a kitchen cabinet. This really aggravates the bird and he claws and scratches, and when the guy finally lets him out, the bird cuts loose with a stream of invective that would make a veteran sailor blush. At that point, the guy is so mad that he throws the bird into the freezer. For the first few seconds there is a terrible din. The bird kicks and claws and thrashes. Then it suddenly gets_very_quiet. At first the guy just waits, but then he starts to think that the bird may be hurt. After a couple of minutes of silence, he's so worried that he opens up the freezer door. The bird calmly climbs onto the man's out-stretched arm and says, "Awfully sorry about the trouble I gave you. I'll do my best to improve my vocabulary from now on.". The man is astounded. He can't understand the transformation that has come over the parrot. Then the parrot says, "By the way, pardon me for asking, but what did the chicken do?".
