  1. Brass. It's sexier and resists corrosion better. Shark or Whale oil (consider all uses)
  2. Question.. Does our M.U.T. (Mechanical Universal Tracker) count as an 'young air pirate dog?' - Instead of an 'old sea dog?' http://www.facebook.com/pages/MUT-Mechanical-Universal-Tracker-or-MUT/169345963104670
  3. Those are Hilarious! Someone has way too much time on their hands or has been bitten hard by society. Well thought out though.
  4. Let's see. Costume repairs for this weekend's gig? Almost done. Swrods oiled up and scabbards checked? YUP! Boys sashes and bandanas all present? Mostly but since they are not always mentally there not sure it matters. ;-P Exhausted from all of that, sword practice and paperwork. YUP. Ready to pirate up the Diamond Ball fundraiser.. HELL YEAH!!! Now to sleep.

SWORDS!! Not Swrods. What is a swrod anyway?

  5. So which one do I answer... I wanted to answer Port because it is tasty... Wrong port? Bugger. So... How about.. Sand Bar as Raw bars have shellfish and you don't want to see what happens if I eat shellfish. AND Schooner - Fast, sexy and well worth the pride and joy of owning one. Let's see... I've been away too long... Saber or boarding dagger?
  6. Special thank you Duchess. I agree with Wes... This was fun and I too am already planning for this year. Jaded - Oh you sweet woman. I've already used the shell in my 'Charity props' and am thinking of other times to use it as well. I wore the little dragon fly necklace at New Year's Eve and it got some lovely compliments. I can't wait to see what you are sending. I will make sure to post it here when it does come. I sent you a thank you and it came back undelivered. I don't know if I read your address wrong or not but could you please send me your address via PM? I'd like to try and send it again. Now Duchess.. I'd love for everyone to know how wonderful this turned out for me this year. Hubby and I are soooo strapped tight on the cash (They also canceled SGU - our primary income so we are working hard for the next gig before running completely out of money - the life of an artist) and Christmas was going to look bleak but this one little extra bit has turned into a lovely experience that assisted in making me feel richer. The topper on this was today when I received a little envelope in the mail.... Elena. I want folks to know how lovely you are. Elena has a tradition in her country. She sent me links on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C4%83r%C5%A3i%C5%9For http://www.moldova.org/page/martisor-a-beautiful-tradition-in-moldova-and-romania-59-eng.html I received in the mail the tiniest of sail ship (In sterling silver), crossed anchors (her notes say it means faith, hope and love) and a bracelet. The two little amulets have the red and white strings tied to them and the bracelet is red and white as well. It is all for luck and best wishes so I am at present, trying to figure out how to include the little ship on my Charity outfit. I have considered adding it to a braid but I'm afraid it might get damaged. It is so tiny. I'll figure it out. Thank you Elena for knowing that I need a smile and some good luck. We are going to have to work soooo much harder this year to fix the damage done by others to the BC Renfest and the Jade Dragon Crew, and even the smallest of happy thoughts, best wishes and a little love can go such a long way. This experience was well worth everything we put into it and I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel soooo much better having done this. Next year it'd be incredible to get more folks involved. Later. Yours in time and adventure.
  7. The Chair as it was gifted to me by SG crew when the shows wrapped. Nice and rich and dark and perfect for Charity BUT it sort of disappears so I had to modify it. With the shop packed for the move I had to work from home. Dremel, hand paint, hand cutting stencils... No CNC and no laser. A lovely move back to Old school.
  8. Back of the chair modified: Added the Rackham as an individual board so that it can be popped out and rigged if needed. Sanded the high pints and with a fine sponge used cream paints to lighten and 'metal a bit' the low points.
  9. Whole chair after modifications. With the shop packed up for the big move I worked on the chair at home without CNCs and lasers. It was nice going back to 'old school.'

    Artistic

I hope to get back and upload other images but this is for 'art' of Charity and/or the Jade Dragon crew as well as things we have made for ourselves and our friends related to our activities or crew.
  11. Popped in and popped out. Busy, busy, busy. How are you all doing? Sorry I've been away quite a bit but the paperwork piled up and it has to get done. Sorry. But by all means.. Pop in and say hi. It will be nice to come back to hellos.

      Hey Jas... Silly man...

      ^_^

Gave me a grin. They say it's contagious.

You grinning yet? I really don't get on here often enough. Working too hard, I guess.
