model building, auto racing, figure painting, and enough other things to keep a man busy.....and of course, plenty of plunderin' and treachery!!!!!!!
  1. Enough Jameson's and the clothes just fall off!!!! It;s like a miracle, I tell ya!!!!
  2. I checked out their site, and I like what I heard. We need MORE bands of the like!!!!! It's good music.....about fighting and dying, with an occasional ballad thrown in while they catch their breath!!!!!
  3. Me ears was ringin, and I come here to find I've been referred to. I'd be the friend of the Doc, with Irish blood in me veins. I'm glad to hear that ye like me choices in music, that bein Celtic Rock. If you can sleep during the pipin, you'll never be wakin up! And Doc be correct, don't give us a reason to organize, ye won't like the results!!!!!
  4. I vacation on Cape Cod, so I've been to the Whydah museum many times. Well worth the trip if you are in the area. So much more than what they showed on air. The cannon barrel, which contains gem stones, has been in an electrified solution for several years. As of this past September, it is drying, and they are removing encrustation. Once the cork plug is removed, they are hoping to be able to "pour" the contents out to determine the value. I thought the show was very good, and followed the local legends. I'd like to see it again, if it is rebroadcast. If not, I'll have to find the dvd from the network.
  5. "The Republic of Pirates" by Colin Woodard. The non-fictional account of Woodes Rogers' attempts to chase down Blackbeard and Sam Bellamy. Half way through, and so far it is very good reading.
  6. I believe I've heard of the "crushing the cat" insults. Well, I have no problem with it at high volume. Enter the Haggis, Seven Nations, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphy's, Pogues, Prodigals, Off Kilter......I've got them, but look at the moniker, any wonder?????
  7. I'll be going to the Whydah museum at the end of August. If I can get a good photo, you're welcome to it. They don't allow flashes, so I'll do my best with digital.
