Tartan Jack Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Which ships were used in the filming of the "film"/"video" of Blackbeard:Terror of the Seas? At least on sloop and a 3 master. BUT, which ones? (In reality, NOT as named in the film) -John "Tartan Jack" Wages, of South Carolina
Rusty Barrels Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 If it is the film I'm thinking of ,the brig was the Lady Washington, don't know about the 3 mast one.
Tartan Jack Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 (edited) Stern/Rear of 3 masted one: The sloop is single masted and black with red trim (and red walled on inside of top deck). (I'll screen grab a pic whenever I find my copy . . .) The Hallmark movie (staring Angus Macfadyen), uses the Lady Washington. I found some pics of it in reference to that movie (which I understand to be AWFUL!!). She is blue and yellow (and is also the Interceptor in POTC 1). Rusty Barrels Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Wow I never seen that ship before and I thought I've seen them all. Is there a chance that it is computer generated. Come on Mates help Wages out ( and me )

No mate, she played in the Interceptor in the movie. The Dauntless was played by a barge. ~Black Hearted Pearl The optimist expects the wind. The pessimist complains about the wind. The realist adjusts the sails.
Tartan Jack Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 I meant Interceptor, sorry. Blackbeard ones are FAKE too . . . Found: http://www3.nationalgeographic.com/channel...ax/main_fs.html In video "behind the scenes, saw these images of the Revenge and QAR/Concord: I was "taken" (and I SHOULD have known better). They just looked so good, esp. for a "made-for-TV" (Nat'l Geo./BBC) movie. I thought the "special effects" were the multiple images of the same ships. -John "Tartan Jack" Wages, of South Carolina
