Well they don't, and the more I post here you see that for yourself.

Nice site and a wealth of information. I am building a pirates role playing forum and I am hoping that when ever I have questions I can count on members here to help answer them. My site is loosely based on the pirates of the caribbean movie, and I am currently coding in a pirate generator that will allow you to build a human, ghost, or even skeleton pirate to role play. A lot of work, but it is worth it as your pirate you make will interact throughout the forum, mostly "behind" the scenes. I will also be coding in ships for captains to acquire and the such, that will take damage, and all that. What I will need is info that I can use that will keep ships and crews close to how it was in the early 1700's, but keeping in mind it is a role playing and writers forum foremost. The forum is postable and ready to go, the coding itself will be worked on almost daily and will not interfere.

Respectfully, Pirates Haven.

ok, that serious crap is out of the way, now for the fun, ummmm, crap, lol

Nathanial Horn glanced up at the rotting sign that hung cockeyed from two rusty lengths of chain and shook his head. Tha Crawlin' Scrog. Appropriately named I am sure, he thought as he opened the door to step inside.

“Appropriately named,” he repeated out loud as he surveyed the tavern. Nathanial stepped around one fight, over a passed out patron, and ducked under a swinging fist as he navigated his way to a table close to the bar, and sat down with his back to the wall. Scrog, a raw recruit, and by the look of half of these patrons their recruit status was left far behind. He was no scrog, he was captain of the Black Mist. The life of a pirate was as every bit as exciting to him as it was dangerous, and he lived for all the excitement and danger he could find.

The rogue smiled at the serving wench, pretty, in a rugged toothless sort of way, he smiled inwardly as he placed his order: a cup of grog, and a mug of beer. The grog to warm up his chilled bones, and the beer, to make the serving wench a little more pleasant to look at, she wasn't that bad, perhaps about six or so beers, he reasoned.

Hangin at Execution dock awaits. May yer Life be a long and joyous adventure in gettin there!
As he was about to face the gallows there, the pirate is said to have tossed a sheaf of papers into the crowd, taunting his audience with these final words:

Eyes oderlesseye, looks like I'm not the only one who's sail doesn't go to the top

That's a coincidence, Blackbead, one of my fetish has to do with a barrel full of undead monkeys. The others, well let's just say too shameful to admit! Wahoo!!!

Mary, lol, you may still have your teeth, but do you put them in a cup at night? :P ok, enough of the fun, lol, if you like the idea of the forum, please do join, I need global moderators and ships captains so I can test code, make sure things make sense, and get ready for when we do get members. It will be fun, it's pirates, so how can it not be fun? :)

Well met, Lady Mary :)
