We discussed Pirates in Paradise from top to bottom and our shared enthusiasm at the number of pirates visiting this year from all quarters. We talked about Key West, camping, photos, costuming and all things festival. She likes to take her breaks 318 feet above the "rabble" as she put it Red Cat Jenny, O please please give my plane the best scrutiny for takeoff/landing as I head to/from FtMyers on JetBlue next weekend, and no Avianca mishaps . I fly the JFK/FTMyers route 3-4 times a year. I'll wish the same when (and if) I attend PIP this year as I did last year. ...reporting nearby from the other side of the Hudson. I have also spoken with Dorian Lasseter. The conversation was rather breif. We were to meet for breakfast. Still, he called me back and we discussed traditional tattoos, work commutes, owning older homes, The Watch Dog, the tall-ship Sultana, school boards, heraldry and Japanese and Normandy re-enactments. All in all it was a great conversation on a wide range of subjects and it was a pleasure to speak to a friend and officer of the 'Dog. Hugh and I spoke about Pirates in Paradise mostly, especially touching on such subjects as black powder safety and the regulation of weapons at the event. We also spoke about everything from pirate festivals to music and back again. I'm sure that I'm forgetting someone, but I've called Capt J numerous times to speak at length about Mercury crew events and I just got off the phone with Mary Diamond. Things that I've learned about them. Capt J grows his beard for events and then shaves it right off again when he returns to life and work. Mistress Diamond likes guns, and not just little guns... Tank mounted weapons. I've also spoken with Michael Bagley on the phone, but mostly to verify where he was on the road between Ohio and Fort de Chartres.
