Rumba Rue
The one man that has always been my favorite is Dick Van Dyke. Not only was he the funniest man that I grew up with, he was a terrific actor. I think he's retired now, but happened to catch "Mary Poppins" on TV last night reminded me of how much I like him. My other favorite is Robin Williams. The guy can do it all. And another quirky guy I love is Owen Wilson. Hmmm, let's put them all together for a pirate movie and see what happens! Caraccioli
Huh. I was watching Nanny McPhee last night. It was OK, but I think Mary Poppins is the better movie. (The plots were so similar as to be confused with one another.) Red Cat Jenny
Mel Brooks Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! My inner voice sometimes has an accent! My wont? A delicious rip in time...
Mad Matt
I saw Dick Van Dyke on an episode of Scrubs, I believe. Yup. Just looked him up on IMDB. Definitely NOT retired! Just not the "A" list leading man he used to be. You will be flogged. And God willing, come morning, you will be flogged some more.
Red Cat Jenny
I loved that show when I was a lil thing... as I got older Carl Reiner cracked me up! I think he's hysterical! Red-Handed Jill
I've always been a fan of Bob Newhart - "driving instructor" still cracks me up. And I'm a big fan of Rita Rudner.
jessie k.
I'd put up a vote for Mel Brooks. And Graham Chapman, he was my favorite of the Monty Python guys. PyratePhil
Robin Williams still gets my vote as funniest all-'round comedian ("Who I'd Most Like To Be If I Ever Grow Up"), with of course his mentor Jonathan Winters getting big kudos as well. ...Qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum... ~ Vegetius
Black Syren
Robin Williams, I especially loved him when he played Popeye. I had a huge six foot cut out poster of him in my room to scare all my nightmares away... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't) Â Â

Red Cat Jenny
Charles Coburn. Too cool. There's two old movies with him that I absolutely love. 1) Especially his role as "Benjamin Dingle"in the 1943 movie The More The Merrier. 2) He also was in another great OLD movie The Devil and Miss Jones (NOT the porn flick) RedCat Jenny Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Crimson Blade
I cried for days when the Golden Girls ended. The scripts were amazing, and Bea, Rue, Betty and Estelle had a wonderful chemistry together! A pirate movie about four salty old sea dogs, starring the Golden Girls would be fab. I'd pay top $$$$ to see that!

Hrothgar Addams
One of the best has gotta be Bob Newhart. His standup stuff is priceless. The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart are the stuff of legend. He also needs to be seen in Hell is for Heroes (a WWII drama), Catch 22as Major Major Major, AND as the ninja fighting exMarine in The Librarian: Quest for the Spear. The movie was lame --the best parts were whenever Newhart was on camera. Sometimes it takes a team. Remember Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner and the 2000 Year Old Man? Great stuff. And then there was Bob And Ray. . . . And as for James Coburn: He was at his best in Our Man Flint and In Like Flint. Never give up--Never surrender! Remember -- A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...BUT a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!" Live while yer alive--an' when yore dead be done with it!
