Cpt. Alva Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 VERY NICE, but probably way too rich for my blood...... "Disobediant Monkeys will be shot, Disobediant Undead Monkeys will be shot repeatedly until morale improves" "They Says Cap'n Alva went funny in the head and turned to Cannibalism while marooned on a peninsula."- Overheard in a nearby camp
Captain Midnight Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 That's absolutely gorgeous! "Now then, me bullies! Would you rather do the gallows dance, and hang in chains 'til the crows pluck your eyes from your rotten skulls? Or would you feel the roll of a stout ship beneath your feet again?" ---Captain William Kidd--- (1945)
Captain Jim Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Did you notice what the price was, mate? My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
Gentleman of Fortune Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 No... it was "sold when I got to it. Anyone venture a guess? I'll say the parts alone were probably $350-400. Sooooooooo....... $1250 Greg Come aboard my pirate re-enacting site http://www.gentlemenoffortune.com/ Where you will find lots of information on building your authentic Pirate Impression!
Captain Midnight Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Yeah, same here. It was already sold when I saw it. "Now then, me bullies! Would you rather do the gallows dance, and hang in chains 'til the crows pluck your eyes from your rotten skulls? Or would you feel the roll of a stout ship beneath your feet again?" ---Captain William Kidd--- (1945)
Captain Jim Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I've got a subscription to their archive, but it probably isn't posted yet. My guess is $2000 to $2500, because of the extensive scrollwork. If it is lower than that someone got a deal. This pistol sold for $1899 and is much less ornate: My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
The Doctor Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Elk River is only 30 miles away. I need to visit them, if only to drool! :) Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?
Kenneth Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 It's a very nice pistol! I'm glad I bought it. "Without caffine, I'd have no personality at all"
Captain Jim Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Show us. Don't claim to have bought such a beauty unless you actually have. We take a dim view of braggarts about here. And if you did buy it, more pictures mate, closeups of the carving and tang areas. So, also, how much (ballpark)? We have a wager going here.
