Deacon Frye
La Maschera del Demonio, marketed here as Black Sabbath, with intros to the three stories by Karloff. The last story, where a nurse steals a dead woman's ring scared the dickens out of me when I was a young sprout home alone. It's one of those visceral, spine chilling sort of frights. Christine
Has this been mentioned, "Garfield Halloween Special"? The one where he and Odie dress as pirates. The whole ghost pirate thing is classic! At one point Josh, aka Captain Morgan, and I discussed this while walking around Disneyland. Great cartoon! :)
Captain Tito
Has this been mentioned, "Garfield Halloween Special"? OMG I loved that one!! Blast CBS fer not showin it anymore!! They should have sold it to ABC when they sold all the Charley Brown stuff to em so they could partner it up with The Great Pumpkin again they way it used to be. As for me? The original (with Vincent Price) The House on Haunted Hill. Plus a bunch of the others. <span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>Have Parrot Bay, will travel. Black Hearted Pearl
I love Hocus Pocus, but what about Edward Scissorhands? Not that I have a thing for him, but I could do a whole night of Halloweeny movies starring Johnny Depp. Edward Scissorhands Sleepy Hollow From Hell Secret Window and of course....POTC ~Black Hearted Pearl The optimist expects the wind. Captian Wolfy Wench
Oh, the Carlie Brown Halloween movie is my all-time childhood favorite! I love it so much! The Garfield Halloween special was great too, but I don't remember much of it, I just remember enjoying it when I was a kid! But I do remember the beginning. When Garfield woke up, he tossed his blanket and just said, "Hello Halloween!" Great stuff, does anyone know if it's on DVD? But my favorites are definetly: Psycho The Sixth Sense Signs Nightmare Before Christmas (More of an X-Mas movie...) The Blair Witch Project Interview with the Vampire Van Helsing Hocus Pocus (Yearly tradition with the Disney Channel, before it sucked) SLEEPY HOLLOW Sleepy Hollow is one of my favroite movies, just by itself. I just loved it when it came out (and I was only a wee lass!). It founded my love for both stylish movie blood and gore, and Johnny Depp. :)
Christine
It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown was supposed to be shown tonight at 8pm on ABC. But because of the stupid political crap, they moved it to 1:40 in the morning! How stupid! Hey, kids, sorry your cartoon was moved to the wee hours of the morning. The dumb political people are all full of hot air! How annoying! For me, other than the movies, I love all the paranormal specials. Like where they go into real haunted houses and stuff like that. Trying to capture ghosts on video. Now that stuff is really scary!
Red Bess
Either History Channel or Discovery Channel is showing a program on the Salem witchhunts on Sunday night -- that's what I'll be watching. History is often much scarier than fiction. :) Ladies in Scarlet: Piratical Art and Accessories
