blackjohn
Members of the Pirate Brethren will be lending a ghostly piratical hand this Friday and Saturday night at Darnell's Chance in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. From their website: October 20 & 21, 7-10 pmMayhem in Marlborough Ghost Walk Take a spooky tour of historic Upper Marlboro. Meet colonial spirits and mischief-makers who once lived and worked in the county seat. Guided tours last one hour and begin at 7 pm and run continuously every 20 minutes until 10 pm. Program is not for children under the age of 6. No reservation necessary. Fee: $6/adult; $4/child (child 6 years and older) While I have never done this event, I have seen pics and heard reports from the last few years and I must admit it sounds like a ripping good time. The house itself is very close to being period. In fact, I thought it was from the late 1690s, but their site says 1740s. You can see pics of it here: http://www.pgparks.com/places/eleganthisto...alls_intro.html My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
