PirateKing Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 One of my shipmates has finally finished building his own two seater airplane, and rightfully deemed it to have some Piratical noseart. The problem has been to come up with some sort of Pirate slogan under the Skull and Crossbones imagery... We were thing some sort of "Death from Above!" type of phrase, but obviously with more of a Pirate twist to it. Any ideas? Lady Seahawke Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Um, given the date coming up...you might be a bit careful giving it a tag line with death or terror in it. Air controllers might not take too kindly to it...ya know? Anyway...you might go with something with a bit of focus on a different aspect of pyratical life. "Fly'n Booty" "Treasure Seeker" "Rum Runner" or something on that line? Just a thought for your consideration. Duchess Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Air traffic controllers would never see the name. To them the name of the plane is its N-number, an FAA assigned number. Name it whatever you want, only people who actually go look at the plane will know it.
Silkie McDonough Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 "The Flying Dutchman" No, realy folks, I've been thinking on this and ...still nothing.
Black Syren Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Rum Runner and The Flying Dutchman are neat. However I too am still looking.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)

Somehow, someway someone would report a name on the side of a plane to either the tower or some other official. And would think it would be bit of incentive for the royalies to tap phone, tap email accounts...etc...But that is my humble opinion. In the end do as you will. Rumba Rue Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I suspect anything with names of like 'Rumrunner' or the sort may not be appreciated by the Government on a plane. Not that it sounds bad to us, but it's an easy target to associate with real drug runners which is not good. Do be careful what you name the plane. Better to be safe than sorry. :)
