buxom_wench Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Have you ever been forced out of a place you call home without cause? Lost in a vast ocean and searching for something to cling to? Looking for an Island somewhere to roost until you can find your way home again? I felt like that this morning...
Zero Eyed Bart Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Lost in a vast ocean and searching for something to cling to? That happens nearly every morning to me. But you are right, this morning was an especially discombobabalating experience. Does anyone know how to spell discobambulating?
FlowerPower Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Funny, I felt the exact same way... Random thought of the day: I'm not having Turkey for dinner.
The Doctor Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I'm pretty certain that "discobambulating" was an activity that took place in the parking lots of dance clubs in the late 70's and early 80's. Myself, I tend to get "discomboozelated", which happens every time I get too drunk to find my rum bottle. Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?
SmellsLikeTnT Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 All I know me fellas argh, is that some turkish buttloads must walk the plank! Taking over our mothership and stealing off our women, they must be fed to the sharkies!
Zero Eyed Bart Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Never again shall I eat Turkish delight! In fact I am renaming it "Freedom Delight!"
Caraccioli Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 ...this morning was an especially discombobabalating experience.Does anyone know how to spell discobambulating? Google. I think Google knows nearly everything - or at least it can point you to places where you can find out. Hm. Except in this case because you're so far off. I had to at least get close by removing extra syllables. (Sound it out.) Here's what happened when I took out a syllable and plugged it into Google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&saf...iscombobalating "You're supposed to be dead!" "Am I not?"
The Doctor Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Of course, there's good, old-fashioned, discobimbolating, which I think any red-blooded, big-hair-loving male can appreciate. Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?

Red Dog Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Geez, I thought it was just me. Well it's offical, the house is in escrow and the rest is going into boxes and My family and I are soon to be Oregonians! Maybe I'll find some of what I'm looking for there.
Hester Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Have you ever been forced out of a place you call home without cause? Not really ... but in grad school, the residence administration threatened to evict me because I complained so publicly about the lousy maintenance and vermin problems Lost in a vast ocean and searching for something to cling to? Yes, but happily I have a high percentage of body fat and can tread water for ages. Looking for an Island somewhere to roost until you can find your way home again? Aren't we all! Did you know Johnny Depp bought his own island in the Bahamas: http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news?id=19808 I'm hoping I wash up on that shore. William Brand Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I was homeless and I lived in Golden Gate Park for a time. An island castaway in the sea that is San Francisco.
JohnnyTarr Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I guess that I have it pretty lucky. I have never been forced out without cause. I have many times felt out of place where I was and looking for a place to be. A few friends to share interests and times with are always nice. I have spent many years trying to stay away from home and make my home where I was. This I going to get deep and dark if I keep going so I will quite now. Git up of your asses, set up those glasses I'm drinking this place dry.
