Christine
I'm sure some of you have heard about the new production that opened recently in Vegas. It's a shorter version, but still has all the songs and it's a lot more lavish than the regular stage show. It looks really awesome! I'd love to someday check it out......after I win the lottery-lol! Anyway, here's some You Tube clips on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnMDcmKmoE4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu5uf_0fPf0 This is just a funny Phantom spoof from Family Guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za_jNkebn8Q

The Doctor
Thanks for sharing, Christine. It looks fantastic! I'll never forget seeing "Phantom" in St. Paul. At intermission, we went to the atrium to stretch our legs and have a bit of wine. The whole front of the theatre is comprised of huge windows, stretching some 30 or 40 feet high. The clouds were greenish-black, with lightning dancing all among them. Quite the thing to behold after watching the chandelier smash into the stage just moments before. It wasn't until we got home that we found out that 2 tornados had passed within a scant few miles of the theatre... :) Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that? Rumba Rue
Well I'll be there in October for the Las Vegas Ren faire, but I certainly can't afford tickets to any show. Besides, I saw the original in Los Angeles many years ago with Michael Crawford and nothing will ever compare to it.
Black Bess
Haha! I'm going to see that. *Looks around smugly* "Life's good, and why wouldn't it be? I'm a pirate after all."
"hellfire" Marie
I'm jealous. I wish I could go. I saw the Phantom once when it came to Des Moines, and I loved it! The special effects were great. I actually just saw the last tour show for Les Mes a few weeks ago in St. Louis. It was spectacular as well, but nothing will ever compare to the Phantom of the Opera. I wish I could see it again. I start to wonder with me pockets full of plunder, is there more to life at sea than piracy? NO!
William Brand
I had the pleasure of seeing Phantom in San Francisco some years back. It is a great production live.
