Rumba Rue
I was just dumbstruck in awe when I saw these. What a terrific idea, I want them all! Clip-clocks
The Doctor
Very cool! I ran across these watches a while back, but haven't decided if I'll get one yet. Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?
William Blydes
That is an excellent idea! I'll check them out this weekend when I'm at Sterling for closing. Captain Jim
What a clever idea. One of those "Now why didn't i think of that" sort of things. I need to spend more time thinking and less time working. My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
Rumba Rue
Someone I know wrote back an email to me about these clocks and said I could do it myself. I wrote back, sorry, I'm not that kind of crafter. I think the prices are right and she's including postage and handling with the purchase. Works for me! Captain Jim
Spot on, Rumba! It's hard enough to come up with new ideas. I also try to support my local (or not so local thanks to the internet) craftsman, and only swipe ideas if I can execute them much better or if the price is totally unreasonable. Ransom
These really are awesome. So, Rumba, which one did you finally decide on? ...schooners, islands, and maroons and buccaneers and buried gold... You can do everything right, strictly according to procedure, on the ocean, and it'll still kill you. But if you're a good navigator, a least you'll know where you were when you died.......From The Ship Killer by Justin Scott. Capt Grey
A masterful solution for re-enactors. Even us "mundanes" could use them, because I don't wear a watch. Thanks for the link, Rumba. Captain, we always knew you were a whoopsie. Rumors of my death are entirely premature.
Rumba Rue
I got my clip-clock I ordered, yesterday. Both Boats and I were really impressed with the work she's put into making the idea work. The piece I picked out looks even better in person. I highly recommend her!
