Capt. Lazarus Gage Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 It turns out that my frock coat I ordered from Carlisles will be getting here later this week or early next week, she just happened to have one in stock that just needed pressed, which was supposed to be done today. I have to say I've talked to this lady twice and she has been very helpfull and extremely nice. She works out of texas and it is just her hand making all of these clothes, which are really well made and would fit any pirate style. So if you have the money to spend (you pay for what you get) and are in the market for extremely well made garb for your kit, visit http://69.94.19.253/index.html.
Captain Jim Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I have the "Calico" coat (named after Jack I presume) and after beating it up sufficiently to make it look weathered and "losing" a few buttons, replacing some of them with mis-matched ones, I like it just fine. No really good pictures of it though, as its too hot in FL to wear it that often. My occupational hazard bein' my occupation's just not around...
Sir Beachem Quick Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 I am waiting on a coat and breeches I have had comissioned by a costumer who is also contracted by Disney here in Orlando, I went yesturday to see the mock up and was totally blown away. This outfit is in truth twice the price of any Carlisle sells but it is custom made for me and is gauranteed to last. I'll post pics when I get it. be sure to look for me at PIP. Sir Beachem Quick, Captain of the . . . . . . a small but dangerous crew.

Capt. Sterling Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 ...oh cant wait to see your pics or any other gent's pics of their frock coat....as I have always been interested in costuming and always love to see what the professionals produce! Check out the "In yer Garb" thread in Rabble Rousing...you'll see lots of folks in their kit there... "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
