Some events don't allow for open fires or even lit candle lanterns due to fire dangers or rules. So what can you do and still be able to use those fine lanterns we like to have for camps.

I found something pretty nifty, so I thought I'd pass this on.

That's really enexpensive and I definately plan on getting some for my own lanterns. :blink:

I would really be most interested in batteried stick candles.

Waite let me run that by the stichers first and make sure it's OK :blink:

I think Plow and Hearth carries something like that in their catalogs as well and I've also seen something that looks like a large pillar candle that these little numbers can be dropped into and they really look like the real thing... they are a great substitute when safety reasons exclude the real thing

Here roun' fair Portlandia, ye Dollar Tree shops be selling packs of these in tealight size for, well: a dollar.

Easy enough to drop into burn'd down pillars, lanterns, and tha like.
