Beatriz
Arrrrgh any of you getting ready for the Pyrate Feast in MD at the end of the month?? (okay, technically its March 1st I believe) I"ve been bouncing off the walls for at least a week in anticipation, which plays hell with the drywall, not to mention having to explain all those bruises! Hope to see at least a few of you there!

moricktowain
I wish I could.. I'm planning to head in that direction at the end of may for the blackbeard festival in hampton va I used to live in the Hampton Roads area, before moving to Texas. I wish I had the interest in pirates back when I lived in that area, I'd have been going to that festival every year, and may have even tried to participate in it. But alas, I now live in Texas. [Of course the nice thing is that we have over 5 renaissance faires, and hopefully a pirate festival over here!] Morick Towain Captain of the Pirate Brethren of Texas Morick Towain IBoRP #116 Captain of the Pirate Brethren of Texas

Guest Angus MacVox
Q: WHAT IS THE "Save the Boobies" PYRATE FEAST? A: `Tis the piratical event of the season as we fill the coffers for breast cancer research and screening So pony up, ye salty dogs, and SAVE THE BOOBIES.... if ya dare! We gather together for feastin, merrymakin, singing and carousing in the name of breast cancer screening and research. All proceeds go to support the members of TeamWench who will participate in the Avon Breast Cancer 2-day walk in April 2003. Our entertainment for the evening will include *The Ships Company*, *In Our Cups*, and *The Pyrates Royale*. All performers have donated their talents for the cause. In addition, we will be having an elaborate Booty Raffle of donated items from local vendors and artisans. You'll be stuffed to the gills from our generous buffet dinner and open bar. Whats not to love? Q: WHERE AND WHEN? A: Adelphi Mill, Adelphi, Maryland Saturday, March 1, 2003 7:30pm Q: WHO CAN BUY TICKETS? A: Anybody can! Until we run out, and sales have been brisk. So HURRY.. $35 donation per person Paypal funds to: Lori Beard lori.beard@usa.net (add 50 cents for postage) or Send Checks (made out to Lori Beard) with your information* and a SASE to: Lori Beard 1485 Amberwood Drive Annapolis, MD 21401 *(remember to include the following: Your REAL name, Number of tickets being ordered, Your mailing address and your email addy) Q: HOW CAN I HELP? A: Simple, friend! 1- Buy tickets! see above! 2- Donate items for the raffle! (you can contact me DIRECTLY and OFFLIST to discuss your donation) animoore2002 at yahoo dot com. 3- The response for volunteers to help cook, clean, piratewrangle and otherwise assist has been overwhelming. If you have a specific talent you would like to donate, feel free to drop me a line. Unfortunately, we cannot offer discounted tickets to those who will assist the day of the feast, but we welcome a warm and dynamic group. This is *our* feast, and we have a great time for an even greater cause. Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO THE FEAST? A: Good question! Things you SHOULD bring: 1- Your ID. The open bar will be free, but it will be legal. 2- Your ticket. (you will receive a hardcopy ticket when you send your money to Lori.) 3- Feastgear (plates, cutlery and drinking vessels).. we provide the food and grog. you need to have something with which to hold it. 4-Your best Pirate Garb... :) not required, but a lot of folks take a great deal of glee in coming up with new piratical attire for the event. Maybe we'll even have a costume contest. hmmm. 5- Cash. You'll be kicking yourself if you dont bring lots of small bills with which to buy raffle tickets this year. we've got some GREAT pieces already donated, (but we want MORE MORE MORE!) whew. I think that about covers it, gang. If ive left anything out, please let me know... ~Ani Moore NurseAni on board Cap'n Keltique's Three Ravens Dame of the MDRF IWG Hostel "Quiet dear, I'm blooming within."
