Silent
[please move it need be] I know it and you know it. The fact that we all LOVE the ocean, but we don't talk about it a lot in this pub. Well she called to me the other day so I took an hour trip to see her. Post your pictures of your ocean trips. This was on the westcoast in Washington at Ocean Shores near Aberdeen WA. Beautiful (the ocean over here in Washington has a REALLY strong smell of salt, the water was numbing cold as well in July mind you)

Red-Handed Jill
One of my better photos is of Ruby Beach up in Washington. Very atmospheric up there... I don't have that many digital ocean photos. Golden Gate Bridge (okay, technically this is taken within the confines of the San Francisco Bay, but it looks out on the ocean): Here are a couple I took on an anniversary trip up the California coast. These were taken at Anchor Bay:

HarborMaster
Show your ocean pictures, What beauty This is about all the photos I have from this years trip of without people in the photos of our beach. This is north of us by 1 1/2 kilometers at the Tampi Ferry terminal . Lots of people usually in thier !! waiting to make the crossing from Tampi to Bato. This is a little of the progress the workers have done for a us on our north side sea wall. the photo is very late afternoon and a low tide. This is about 100 ft south of the seawall. Someone abandoned a scuba boat at about our center ? I am sure by next year it'll be gone? Since we are only thier once a year., or every other year we cant keep a watchful eye and just rely on the neighbors to watch things., right . The island in the distance is Cebu., the photos dont do it justice., Cebu is but only 6 kilometers away and you can see the lights at night from the nieghboring islands., Siquijor is visable also to the south but at 12 kilometers. historyfanatic
Ok, so these aren't primarily of the ocean, but they have the ocean in them!!! I'm sure you can forgive me... Here's a favorite from my personal collection... (I've got lots of ocean pics, but not too many in digital form...) I tried to make this one look like an oil painting, but my computer program is lousy: (looks more like watercolor... And still crappy...) Charity
I've been too busy to come by but before leaving on vacation for three weeks I thought I'd share this. I took it on Scheveningen beach last Tuesday. I love nothing more then an ocean (or in our case the Northsea..) sunset..
Firethorn
I live 10 minutes from the beach. This is a picture from late winter early spring where I was working on a house on the ocean front. Caraccioli
William - I was about to ask you if those shots were from the Keys, then I re-read your post and saw that they were. There's something distinctive about the shape of a key. This is PG-13 rated, so I'll just post a link. Black Bess
A couple o' picture of me on Campobello Island, I loved being by the sea.I know, I'm in "regular" garb... Regular garb, my foot! Ye look great, and so does yer wardrobe. I love the hair...how'd you get it to stay like that with the salty air? Hey, can you say frizzy for mine? These are beautiful pictures, everyone! I'd love to share me own, but until I get out of the 'Dark Ages' of technology, I'm afraid I can only look for now. "Life's good, and why wouldn't it be? I'm a pirate after all." CrazyCholeBlack
These are from my trip to CA earlier this year. I have to say the salt water was amazing, especially to this midwesterner. Most are from the rocky shore of Monteray Bay. Something about the combination of rocks and waves, I never wanted to leave.
