DGeraths
Hello all, Here are some photos of the latest custom board that my studio has produced. This board, designed to be entirely portable and self contained, consists of two medium sized cases; measuring 18" inches tall, 24" inches long and about 6" inches wide. They each come with a nice brass handle for easy carrying. These two cases, when set onto a flat surface such as a table or countertop, clasp together with two brass hasps. The two sides of the cases then become a very beautiful hand painted and acrylic encased playing surface; measuring 24" x 36" inches. More than enough room for a good game of Pirates. A very handy feature to this portable game board is the hinged playing surface. When opened up, the inner compartments are revealed. Inside there are spaces for all of the islands, game pieces (both built and unbuilt), dice, cards, coin containers, etc... This allows for easy storage of a ship collection and makes everything you need to play the game handy and portable. Please note: in these photos the inside lids of the playing surface have not yet been painted. They will be painted flat black, as is the rest of the interior, with a skull and crossbones stenciled and airbrushed in white. Please let me know what you think. William Brand
And what would be the cost of this beautiful item, may I ask?
DGeraths
And what would be the cost of this beautiful item, may I ask? The cost to have one built would be somewhere around $550 - $600 depending on the detail requested by the customer, plus shipping. It could be ordered for slightly less if islands are excluded. We are also working on a smaller version of the portable board, which is basically the same thing as shown, but just one case, instead of two. It provides a playing surface of 18" x 24" inches, which is enough room for a simple two person game. The cost of that version would be somewhere around $300, again, depending on the detail required by the customer. Dana Geraths Design
