< Filk be a well known song wi the words swapped out. Fer example, "Ghost riders in the sky" becomes 'Ghost porkers in the sty". Almost killed off an old folks home singin that one.

^ I'm a shutterbug, to be sure! So, ALOT of thought went into my digital camera purchase. It had to have the biggest zoom available AND be able to fit into the pocket of my coat. So, when I have it at an event, and if it's not in my chest or haversack, I've got it in my coat pocket.

< Has a terrible guilt complex about carrying a camera at an event. I hate to whip it out in public!

V Does size matter, for your camera's zoom? Or do you not care about telephoto as much as I do?

^ Very much so, size matters where zoom is concerned and the overall size of the camera in order to conceal it.

< I hate carrying cameras and cell phones but find that I have to carry both. Nothing worse than ringing at an event and the vibrate only usually scares the crap out of me!

V How often do you forget your phone in your tent UNTIL after the event is over?

^ Waaaaaay too often, to Lisa's consternation! I do my best to remember to check it as often as possible, but you know how it is when you get swept away by an event...

< Spent hours, no, DAYS trying to find the right camera. Settled on an Olympus C-740 Ultrazoom with a builtin 10X lens. Still fits in the pocket.

V What has it got in its pocketses?

^ usually keys, pocket watch, lip chap (in the winter events), lighter (unless there is a camp fire going on somewhere), tin of cigars, event schedule if there is one, wallet, handkerchief, spare cartridges, period correct coins, and breath mints....

V one item you always need at an event but wind up always forgetting in the car or tent and have to run back for?

^ Well not a living History Event, but I used to do conventions twice a year and continually left my breifcase or my camera or my purse. It got so I would have to count 1,2,3,4,...where the hell? oh ..5. before I went anywhere so I knew I had everything.

< I believe those trips were the start of the no sleep habit. Yes, meeting at 5AM drinks at 6:30pm until bed around 3..meeting at 5.......

V Pool or Ocean for a swim?

^ either makes me happy... although the pool can prove to be far warmer in the winter

^ Depends on the company..and if it's the Ocean what may be skittering along the sand ouch!

^ I'm a native Californian, does that count? No, never slept in a yurt or a grass hut.

^ No resorts lately. Wit' children, it's find a destination an nearby hotel.

^ Far enough off th grid fer peace an quiet..close enough fer a good coffee and a nice seafood dinner. Oh.. and dry cleaning.

^ Like windows, sunlight, an no dark rooms. Let the light in, except when I'm sleepin'.

< I like mountain air. We stayed in a friends condo in Mammoth last summer. It's a little commercial now; things change, but it was still beautiful.

^ Only camped on the beach once - not a bug person, but have heard modern tents like at PIP are nice. Jury's out ufn...
