Awhile back I asked for input as to what I should do with my old CVA Blunderbuss kit gun. I decided not to rebuild from scratch after all, and am in the process of re-shaping the stock. Here's what I started with...

I will post photos of the project as I complete steps. Right now the final stain coat is drying in the shop. I'll put it partially together later to show the difference in it to date.

Next step will be to make the buttplate and fit it to the stock, and I'm going to add my own touch by making a carbine ring attached to the lock-plate screws, and hang it off of a woven/ leather sling. Stay tuned.

Tennessee Valley Manufacturing has a kit

Scroll down and you will see it. It runs about $400. There are some differences between early (that is, GAoP) style blunderbusses and later ones though.
