Of course I want it here in my home port, but i was also wondering what I can hope for tie-in's for the movie. Will Burger King get the nod from Disney or will Mcdonald's swim with the fishes? A GREAT way to raise money IF a movie theater is willing to produce such an event. An' ya mentioned the radio stations around. Z 102.9 or 98.1 would be awesome since I know the guys on KHAK in the morning (Brain and the Bear) are big fans of PotC. Plus... which Theater? Wynnsong? Or Galaxy 16? Tough, tough question. However, I really doubt I'll be able to make this raid -- I have two other places to be that night, and neither of them are POTC 2 openings. However, if by some miracle my schedule should open up, I would love to be there. Cedar Rapids, correct? If that is the weekend in question, I know for sure I will be unable to make it to Iowa for this. First, it sure is tough driving a car with a hook. But that is the weekend of the Civil War Reenactment in Wauconda, IL, which we have been planning on for a full year -- it will be the first ever full family Civil War event for us. Thus far Friday - July 7th - late afternoon and evening will be a Pirate Invasion at the Galaxy 16 Cine in Cedar Rapids. Again the final details are being made but from what I know, the theater will be decorated in piratical decor, a costume contest between 5-6 pm... and hopefully more stuff to enjoy the evening. I can't make it unless my work gets changed. I'm going to try to get another one for the 5- 6 showing.. but its going to be a smaller crew than I had hoped. Advance (discount) tickets are being sold at the Portico Shop. Again... cannot join any of you. I have my own (Civil War) family plans Friday through Sunday. Maybe for PotC III....
