Tall Paul Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Ok, I am not the owner, but can anyone beat this. From the 1963 movie the longships? I say it qualifies as a ships bell because at one point it was mounted on a raft and towed behind a longship. Cpt "Tall Paul" Adams Colchester Historical Enactment Society (C.H.E.S.)
Captain_MacNamara Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 That's a mighty fyne Bellrope ye gots there! This'n be my biggest bell... At 8 inches across the base of the bell, she ain't nowhere near's impressive as that last one, but a'least we can ring this'n w'out causin an earthquake... Captain of the Iron Lotus It is the angle that holds the rope, not the size of the hole.
