This is a first year fair held to benefit the Queens Galley, a non-proffit food kitchen and nourishment awareness organization. If you are in serious need of some Faire early in the Northeast season, come on by! The faire will have a pirate flavor since they have my group , The Brigands, and two other pirate based groups as part of the entertainment. And, we we will doing a black powder cannon demonstration times daily. http://queensgalley.org http://thebrigands.com Rob't Thighbiter Hellion 48' 023" 125' 49" Pirate music at it's best, from 1650 onwards The Brigands

Hawkyns Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Kathryn and I will be there on Saturday. Is the black powder limited or can I bring my matchlock and play, too? If you need, I've been a cannoneer for 20 plus years and am master gunner for a couple of groups. Be glad to help. Capt Thighbiter Posted May 3, 2006 Author Posted May 3, 2006 Aye Hawkyns, ye be welcome to help out Sat morning with the cannon barrage. We are bringing 3 , possibly 4 guns and can use the extra hands and perhaps learn a bit from ye. Pirate music at it's best, from 1650 onwards The Brigands
Capt Thighbiter Posted May 4, 2006 Author Posted May 4, 2006 Make that definately 4 cannon. Just made it speak for the first time last nite. I think you will enjoy looking and working this one Hawyns, it appears to be a very well made bronze tube, 30" x 1.650 bore. I susspect it is a lot older then the carriage.
