They said they got a lot of calls on the earthquake, but nothing is reported. It was most likely the Marines from Camp Pendelton. The sound can travel and can be felt for miles and miles away.

When aircraft hit Mach 1 and break the sound barrier it makes things rattle. Captain, we always knew you were a whoopsie. Rumors of my death are entirely premature.
