Hawkyns Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 http://www.evenfalsethingsaretrue.com/wickedfaire/ An indoor winter ren-faire for adults. I'm told that this will have a pagan/goth/fetish twist and definitely NOT be for the kiddies or faint hearted. Hawkyns Cannon add dignity to what otherwise would be merely an ugly brawl I do what I do for my own reasons. I do not require anyone to follow me. I do not require society's approval for my actions or beliefs. if I am to be judged, let me be judged in the pure light of history, not the harsh glare of modern trends.
hurricane Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 What's that like, being indoors in Winter. Hawkyns Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Just a bump to bring it back to the top. Nobody from the Northeast interested? Rummy3 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Gosh~ That sounds like the epitome of a fyne Ren Faire indeed! Wish I was in New Jersey for this event! I imagine it will supersede all expectations!
Kathyrn Ramsey Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 This event will be indoors and shall be an incredible time full of bawdy music, and debauchery....

Hawkyns Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 Aye , Duncan, I'll be there. Don't look for the pirate kit or the Elizabethan rig. In keeping with the slightly off kilter theme, it's mostly likely that Gwen and I will be dressing fantasy for this one. Think schlock sword and sorcery like The Warrior and the Sorceress or Deathstalker. Maybe even Xena. We don't get many opportunities to do the fantasy schtick so I'm taking this one. Captian Wolfy Wench Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Ah, if only Jersey weren't the other side of the country.
Rogue Mermaid Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Hmmm, very interesting. I just sent my friends an e-mail about it. I live 2hrs away so I might have to make a road trip!!! If I'm going I'll put another post on here to try and met some people.
lady snow Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 if my irs refund is in my account tomorrow, i may make the trek. all i ask is, if you have the black p pin - please wear it. makes it easier to identify pub members. ~snow with faith, trust and pixiedust, everything is possible if it be tourist season, why can't we shoot them? Hawkyns Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 Won't be wearing the pin, but look for a leather haversack with a white heraldic rose and the the letters R H. Other than that, black leather pants and jerkin, cutlass and black head rag Hawkyns Cannon add dignity to what otherwise would be merely an ugly brawl I do what I do for my own reasons. greenighs Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Still going, Hawkyns, considering the weather forecast? I was hoping to go, but I just can't afford the gas this weekend, nevermind all the cool stuff I'd want to buy.
Hawkyns Posted February 11, 2006 Author Posted February 11, 2006 Damn straight. Leaving when Scarlett gets out of work, just about an hour from now. We'll get down there no problem, and the fair is on, snow or not. If we can't get home on Sunday, cest la vie. I don't quit for weather Hawkyns Cannon add dignity to what otherwise would be merely an ugly brawl I do what I do for my own reasons. I do not require anyone to follow me. Sam Flint Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Honestly I'm a bit concerned with this fair. Sounds like it gonna be more of a goth festival then an indoor fair I live close enough where I could go if i wanted to but i think i'm gonna pass. The only thing that is really drawing me there is the Crimson Pirates

Give someone a hearty spankin' for me!
Zath Chauvert Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 This faire sounded interesting, but between the weather and everything else, I had to skip it. Did anyone else go? If so, was it any good, and would you mind sharing some details so I can live vicariously?
lady snow Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 the blizzard hit around dinner time. most of the cast didn't show up and a few headliners cancelled too. but i had a great time! there were quite a few friends of mine there (hearty souls that we are) i even helped jeff out inthe food area for a couple hours. it was more ren than goth. we also got stuck in edison for an extra day due to 21 inches of snow. i plan on being in the cast next year. ~snow with faith, trust and pixiedust, everything is possible if it be tourist season, why can't we shoot them?
