Durty Mick Moon Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 well, the question cannot be any more inane then some o' the other's here (i.e. facial shaving vs. "down there" shaving)....debating on whether to shave me beard off, some o' me women friends like it, some do not. So I be wonderin'......not that I be seriously mindin' any o' ye's opinions anyways...thank ye fer yer patronage...
Lady Seahawke Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I personally like a facial hair on a man. A mustach is good, a goatee is better but a beard, neatly.trimmed is best. Christine Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Exactly how I feel as well Lady Seahawke! And in that order. I just love facial hair on men, makes them even more handsome in a rugged way! There just be something about it. :)
Charity Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I always hated beards..but then i saw this rockstar i used to love who's now a pharmasist and i was like and then..hmmm doesn't look bad.. Then Barbossa came...and now i'm sold I love beards but not long and bushy
Cpt Sophia M Eisley Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I like the goatee look. Not sure if I'm one of the few who likes the five o'clock shadow, but there, I've said it, it's true. Perhaps we'll meet again under better circumstances. ---(---(@ Dead Men...Tell No Tales. Welcome, Foolish Mortals...

Rummy3 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I'm partial to whiskers. Topping off the list is a goatee (like my ever-lovin, Diego. - nobody more appealing!) Then there's the fu-Manchu kind of whiskers. I like the ones that get really long straight down the sides of the mouth like Paul Teutul from Orange County choppers. Then, of course, there are the mustached men like Sam Elliot and remember Frank Zappa's flavor saver? One thing, though, just take a look at Mel Gibson as William Wallace - he is clean shaven as a whistle and admittedly, he makes me smile. Hmmm, I love men, that's all there is to it!
Dregg Culter Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I have a goatee. I don't like to be draggin' the blade across me face.
Captain Jacob Badger Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 AArrrrrr!!.......whiskers be great....tho nowadays I has t' wax 'em outta the way or they gets in me nosh....hurr hurr!! Yes, it be pointy…..and ye be at the wrong side o’ it.
Sealegs Constance Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I like a mustach and a goatee is better but I just cannot get into beards. They are just not my thing. Sealegs Constance I am what I am
Rumba Rue Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Neat is in, scraggly out. Also, the softer the better. Nothing worse than kissing a cactus! And don't even think about going 'down there'!
Deadeye Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I used to wear a pretty long goatee. It hung down to roughly mid chest and i wore it in two braids. I used to love it, and so did my wife. but alas my new role in the Navy prohibits facial hair other than a mustache, and since i cannot grow one very well, i go without - 10 Fathoms Deep on the Road to Hell... Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum...
The Doctor Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I keep a neatly trimmed beard, because without it, no one believes I'm over the age of 20! Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?
Rummy3 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I keep a neatly trimmed beard, because without it, no one believes I'm over the age of 20! Awww - It's a baby-faced pyrate!
PyratePhil Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Awww - It's a baby-faced pyrate! It COULD be worse - if I take my whiskers off, I look amazingly like Wally Cox! ...Qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum... ~ Vegetius
Scarlet McBayne Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Definitly like the whiskers...the better to tickle me fancy with. wink wink Clean shaven is ok, but I likes me men to look like men, big and hairy! Christine Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Wally Cox? Didn't he do the voice of Under Dog? Great now, I have that song stuck in my head!
Christine Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 As for Mel Gibson as William Wallace: may not have had either a beard or a goatee, but he wasn't completely clean shaven either. With the long hair he had that rugged look, which works for me too!
Durty Mick Moon Posted November 16, 2005 Author Posted November 16, 2005 Definitly like the whiskers...the better to tickle me fancy with. wink wink Clean shaven is ok, but I likes me men to look like men, big and hairy! Diego Santana de la Vega Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I be partial to me goat! But Rummy sure can dance around lighten up the sky huh? Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a knife in your back.
Fox Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Once upon a time I had long hair and a long beard (which I occasionally used to put into two spikes), all you could see of my face was my eyes. Then I cut my hair short and trimmed the beard back to a goatee with a magnificent moustache. Then, alas, the moustache had to go when my ex and my mother combined to tell me that a moustache that covers your lower lip when your mouth is closed is not only unhygienic (yeah, I got food in it - a lot), but also hadn't been fashionable since 1860. Now, Vixen doesn't much like my beard (actually it's my moustache she objects to, it irritates her when we're kissing), but when I was in a crash a couple of years back they shaved me in hospital and she realised that I look like I'm 14 under the facial hair, so now she grudgingly allows a neat trimmed goatee and tache (but I still hanker after a moustache I can suck when I'm thinking).
