Ship's Gunner Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 Ahoy Shipmates, I recently received my 2006 Pirate calendar in the mail, with art-work by Don Maitz...It's awesome! Images of Blackbeard, Henry Morgan, Black Sam Bellamy's crew capturing the WYDAH, etc. Each month even has historically significant dates in pyrattical history. (For example, July 19 has the following entry: "1721- Black Bart's former quartermaster, Walter Kennedy, is hanged at Execution Dock in Wapping after being identified as a pirate by a former shipmate.") I heartily recommend it. If you'd like one, you can order it here: http://www.tide-mark.com/pirates.html Your Shipmate, Chad Teasley Ship's Gunner

Hrothgar Addams Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 I found mine at a local independent bookstore. They'd ordered ten and sold em out in less than a week! They didn't know such an interest in pirates existed in Spokane Never give up--Never surrender! Remember -- A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...BUT a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!" Live while yer alive--an' when yore dead be done with it!
Black Hearted Pearl Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 They didn't know such an interest in pirates existed in Spokane Arrrgh!, It's not like the state of Washington is next to the ocean. I mean I can understand people wanting pirate calendars in the state of Arizona. ~Black Hearted Pearl The optimist expects the wind. The pessimist complains about the wind. The realist adjusts the sails.
