Marrowbones
BBC 2 had a 'songs inspired by the sea' program the other day. Not all to my taste, and nothing piratical, but there's some good ones in there. 'all things are quite silent' and 'The wild goose' were my favourites, but they might be too floaty for you butch piratical people. Anyway, use the listen again feature here http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/r2music/folk/harding/ And tell me what you think. You can also get a playlist up once you're on the radio player page. May yer Life be a long and joyous adventure in gettin there! As he was about to face the gallows there, the pirate is said to have tossed a sheaf of papers into the crowd, taunting his audience with these final words: "My treasure to he who can understand."
