corsair2k3 Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Greetings, Though not strictly related to matters of pirate scholarship, I will be grateful if the moderators would allow this to go through. As the result of an "event" over the weekend, the entire contents of the hard-drive to my computer--including my address book--is gone. For those on this forum with whom I correspond--I'm not ignoring you. I'm in damage mitigation mode and will be for some time. Regards, The Corsair "...a lesson to be learned..."
Red Maria Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Sorry to hear that Corsair. Let me know when your building your address book agin and I'll send you my e-mail.
Fox Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Sorry to hear that Corsair, two recent "events" have kept me offline and pc-less for a month or so. If you want me to email you any of the documents and whatnot you've sent me in the past I'd be happy to. Rumba Rue Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Sorry to hear that. I know about PC's crashing to death. I know when the old computer had a Viking Funeral two years ago (it literally burned up), it was and still is hard for me to replace what I lost....and I lost a lot of dearly wanted stuff. JoshuaRed Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Yeah, I highly recommend investing in an external usb hard drive, which makes for a quick and easy backup. Just copy all important files to it once a month or so, and you'll be safe. I learned this the hard way.
