Red Bess
This sounds very cool! May well be worth the trip, if our schedules permit. It will be interesting to see what kind of seminars they come up with. Ladies in Scarlet: Piratical Art and Accessories
LadyBarbossa
Yup... very much so. I'd like to go myself. But ... we shall see. Depends on the price of gas next year though, too. The Grand Ball I'm sure would be something VERY spectacular! To see many people there dressed in the finest from various eras. Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" Cap'n Pete Straw
I'm going! If anyone plans to attend this, let's communicate closer to the event... Let's see... What to wear? Pirate? Civil War (Yankee)? Civil War (Confederate)? Renaissance? Victorian vampire hunter? Lord of the Rings? Late 20th-century Soviet military? Batman? Klingon? So many eras from which to choose and yet, ironically, so little time... "He's a Pirate dancer, He dances for money, Any old dollar will do... "He's a pirate dancer, His dances are funny... LadyBarbossa
Well.. something historical that's for sure. Maybe for the ball I will wear my gold gown. I'm planning on attending that as well. Hopefully I won't be too broke from just getting back from Cowpens SC or have classes that interfer - yep.. going back to school. I'll most definitely be there for 18th c.. mostly Rev War. Hawks... I had the honor & pleasure of meeting Clisto last year at Bristol. Spoke with him a couple times online, one of those times was to inform him about the Re-enactors Fest. Figured he would love to go to something like this & to spread the word on this fabulous fest. I think it will be fabulous! Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" Cap'n Pete Straw
I had a blurb on this event posted in my group's C.W. Reenactor's newsletter. (actually, forgot I contributed it, then saw it in print, was mad that someone scooped me on this news, and then saw my name credited as the one who submitted it. Must be the beer.)
