Fancy Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Rummy I don't know yours, but I done thought of a couple of other easy ones you'll probably get... seein' as how it's the same band as before... they're fun song, just wanna share em.. I hope I get the words right... 1. Thank the good Lord for rock and roll Thank the good Lord for gin Thank the good Lord that women are made To satisfy their men Thank the good Lord for Black and Red And my 'late' buddy Will Thank the good Lord most of all For good ol' .... (song title) ... from Merryville got a yella dog named Black a blonde head wife called Red that run around behind his back ... got locked in jail 'bout a week or so ago swore to the jailer and the preacher that the good Lord had saved his soul ... went home, found Black and Red in bed with his buddy Will he shot 'em all and he started singin' and he's still singin' in jail... Thank the good Lord... 2. Well we're big rock singers we got golden fingers and we're loved everywhere we go We sing about beauty and we sing about truth At ten thousand dollars a show.. ... (something something) and we keep gettin' richer but we can't get our picture on (song title) Fancy

Diego Santana de la Vega Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 When night comes down You lock the door. The book falls to the floor. As darkness falls The waves roll by, The seasons change The wind is wry Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a knife in your back.

Mission Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 "There's a lot of good people Who are led astray That believe what the good book said Well, I'll tell ya something brother When you're dealing with the devil It's tough to keep a level head And it's hard to imagine How the flames of passion Can burn till your soul will melt And it'll spread like a cancer But you're gonna have to answer..." (Hint: this is not a "Christian" song, it's sort of southern rock) Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."

Mission Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 mission you damn near wrote out the entire song ye think that might have been a clue in itself? Yet nobody guessed it! how about if we can only quote platinum sellers? (i know I know) this is one Yep, it's from the album It's All About to Change which went multi-platinum. ok fine what is it? lets move on! It's called Bible Belt and it's by Travis Tritt. (It's a cool song - very southern rock-ish. Well, I like it.) It was in the movie My Cousin Vinny and was up to number number 75 or something on the charts. The song on the flip side of the single (remember flip sides?) reached number 5. Mycroft: "My brother has the brain of a scientist or a philosopher, yet he elects to be a detective. What might we deduce about his heart?" John: "I don't know." Mycroft: "Neither do I. But initially he wanted to be a pirate."
Fancy Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 "People are talking, talking 'bout people I hear them whisper, you won't believe it They think we're lovers kept under cover I just ignore it, but they keep saying We laugh just a little too loud We stand just a little too close We stare just a little too long Maybe they're seeing something we don't, darlin'" Fancy
Capt. Morgan Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Let's Give Them Something to Talk About... Try this one... it's pretty easy: "No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue I could not foresee this thing happening to you If I look hard enough into the settin’ sun My love will laugh with me before the mornin’ comes." Touche' Ship's Marksman & Crab Fiend Pyrates of the Coast "All the skill in the world goes out the window if an angel pisses in the flintlock of your musket." "Florida points like a guiding thumb, To the southern isles of rumba and rum, To the mystery cities and haunted seas, Of the Spanish Main and the Caribbees..."

Do you wanna be the pillow Where I lay my head Do you wanna be the feathers Lying on my bed Do you wanna be the cover Of a magazine Create a scene Every day a little sadder A little madder Someone get me a ladder Do you wanna be the singer Do you wanna be the song Let me tell you something You just couldn’t be more wrong You see I really have to tell you That it all gets so intense From my experience It just doesn’t seem to make sense Fancy
