I believe that be "Amber" ???

Here's one:

"Making love with you

Has left me peaceful, warm, and tired

What more could I ask

There’s nothing left to be desired"

I wonder if one of the most important steps on our journey is the one in which we throw away the map.

Give me a job, Give me security.

Give me a chance to survive,

I'm just a poor soul in the unemployment line, my God I'm hardly alive.

My Mother and Father, My wife and my friends see them up in my face.

I've got the power and I've got the will, I'm not a charity case.

I'll take long nights, Impossible odds.

Styx: Renegade

No offense, but upon reading almost all the lyrics being listed here, the tune immediately snaps into my mind. I guess I'd rather not be stumped every time, but these are way too easy (Beatles? Styx? Heart?). But if it were too hard, I'd get bored and stop reading this theread, I guess.

Okay, this isn't that heard either...

"My damsel, she’s a woman with coal black hair,

Don’t you look her in her eye when she starts to stare,

’Cause her beauty drive you crazy

And her potions steal your soul,

No matter how you beg her she don’t ever let you go"

Please accept my apologies for the typos. I usually proofread better than that.

Evil Woman... Doobie Bros. My mom met the doobie brothers... well, Patrick Simmons and Michael McDonald, many years ago after a concert. That was very cool to a young teen girl :) (me)

How cool that y'all have been posting Styx songs... I've been listening to them recently :) and considered posting the Renegade lyrics myself just today... B)

Ok... how about this one...

Now some they do and some they don’t

And some you just can’t tell

And some they will and some they won’t

With some it’s just as well

"Goodbye Stranger" by Supertramp. B)

I love that group!

Here's one that's a little more obscure:

You're whispering in my ear,

Tell me all the things that I wanna to hear,

'cause that's true...

Yo ho ho! Or does nobody actually say that?

Ha!!! I know that one!!! The Pogues! Dirty Old Town... from Rum, Sodomy and the Lash! I'm listening to them right now!!!

Lets see... off the top of my head...

You’ve got a heart of glass or a heart of stone

Just you wait ’till I get you home

We’ve got no future, we’ve got no past

Here today, built to last

In every city, in every nation

From lake geneva to the finland station

East 17 - West End Girls B) You're in the Groove Black John! Gotta loves them Pogues I does!

How about another Irish one... (Diego - this one shouldn't leave you stumped!)

Opened my eyes today

And I knew there's something different

Saw you in a brand new way

Like the clouds had somehow lifted

And if yesterday I heard

Myself saying these words

I would swear it was a lie

I don't know why..., but suddenly I'm falling

(na na na, na na na na na)

Was I so blind...

I was loving you all the time B)

In the meantime... try this one...

you'll need to adorn your disco days "hat" :D

See them out on the street at night, walkin'

Picking up on all kinds of strangers

If the price is right

You can't score if you're pocket's tight

But you want a good time

The song is "The Mermaid" by many sources... old sea-song...

And for my addition...

"As I was going over the Cork and Kerry Mountains

I saw Captain Farrell and his money he was countin'

I first produced my pistol and then produced my rapier

I said "Stand and deliver or the devil he may take ya"

I took all of his money and it was a pretty penny

I took all of his money yeah and I brought it home to Molly

She swore that she loved me no never would she leave me

But the devil take that woman, yeah, for you know she tricked me easy"

That should be an easy one for everyone!

Stumped no longer it be the Corrs. And glad tidings o ye all!

There's a bright golden haze on the meadow

(repeat)

"the corn is as high as an elephant's eye

and it looks like its climbin right up to the sky....

Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a knife in your back.
