Perkeo
I'm kinda tired tonight. I worked kinda late as usual then I had to be up really early. My mom had a Lumpectomy to remove a small lump of cancer in her left breast. Luckily it didn't spread to her lymph-nodes and they believe they were able to remove all of it. We will know more in about 3-5 days. It was a very long day with very little sleep. She is home and doing well. Help Pyrate Minicity grow, click a link below! LadyBarbossa
:::hugs Siren::: I'll always be prayin' for ya, Siren, m'dear. Indeed, those things are not one to mess around with, they sure mess with you badly though. Cheeky... will it EVER get warm again? Let lone... will we ever see green again! Just got a snow storm yesterday. Causing havoc here in Iowa (which oddly didn't see it on the news); highways, interstates, roads closed and impassible, vehicles of all sizes in the ditches, jacknifed, everywhere you can imagine; towns and farmers out in the countryside are snowed in and stranded, can't get anywhere. Blowing snow causing whiteout conditions. Yeah, more snow tomorrow (light) then Thursday (major storm again) and then another on Monday! Better not get something in April again! Christine, hope ye be doin' better. Feeling better myself. Somewhat. Achey as hell to the point of near ovedose of asprin to null the pain. Coughing some and a tad bit congested in the chest. But not as bad as it was. At least this time I can breathe. ~Lady B Tempt Fate! an' toss 't all t' Hell!" "I'm completely innocent of whatever crime I've committed." Christine
The aftermath of the cryotherapy makes me feel gross and unclean. The dead cels are falling out, which is normal and will last a couple of weeks. It just makes me feel dirty and want to live in the shower until it's over, yuck! I do hope you are feelin' better soon and the recovery time goes by fast for ya.Here's a Teddy Bear to give ya a HUG Oh, how cute, thank ye BriarRose! Yeah, I hope this goes by quickly, it's no fun at all. The worst is dealing with work during this. I keep thinking people are staring at me and can tell what's going on. I'm usually friendly and out-going, but at the moment I don't feel like being friendly. People come by my desk wanting to chat, like usual and all I want to do is be at home. One good thing is there's a co-worker of mine who went thru the same thing. She knows exactly how I feel and all I'm going thru. It helps talking to her, knowing I'm not alone in this. If I can just make it to Wednesday night I'll have a couple of days off to just veg and relax. Been working since Thursday, so I'm really looking forward to this break. Red-Handed Jill
Relieved that I didn't peak in high school. A friend of mine recently got a scanner and has been sending me and some other high school friends some photos from the old days. One of them is, I think, from my fifteenth birthday. I look so skinny, gawky and, for lack of a better word, unformed. I think from now on whenever I start feeling down when I see my wrinkles, I'll look at this picture. Christine - just a few more hours to go. Hang in there!
Christine
Christine - just a few more hours to go. Hang in there! Yup, counting down the time til this day is over and then I have the next couple of days off, woo-hoo! Unfortunately tho I found out I have a slight infection from the cryotherapy. I won't get into the yucky details, but things aren't the way it should be (meaning odor-wise) and so I gotta go in to get antibiotics. I'm lucky tho it's nothing too serious, meaning I don't have any pain or anything. It's only a slight infection that needs to be taken care of. But ugh, I swear, nothing is ever simple with me, lol! Aye...got that lovely "Weren't you just here last week for a broken foot?" from the nurse... good thing about that is that it was broken years ago, just never healed...and obviously that in itself doesn't bother me... the pain was caused either by tendinitis or gout...ahem... The crewe is not the problem...**can't believe he's saying this** tis the dogs and the damn high heeled shoes... Capt. Sterling
Lie in a chair - have lackeys feed you victuals and all that. I do have the snotties for that and they have been a great help...and all ye lovely ladies...the mistress on the other hand... "Oh Johnny you've been hurt! What happened?" Me going through entire explanation to then hear... "What? What was that?" from Mistress who is far too distracted by two other men of her acquaintance that all she talks about is kidnapping them and holding them for ransom.. Is that what courtesans call wanting to have sex with someone else now a days??
