Jas. Hook Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Any o' them flamin' rum marshmallow concoctions left? "Why are the marshmellows always gone?" Jas. Hook "Born on an island, live on an island... the sea has always been in my blood." Jas. Hook "You can't direct the wind . . . but . . . you can adjust the sails." "Don't eat the chickens with writing on their beaks." Governor Sawney
William Brand Posted January 5, 2012 Author Posted January 5, 2012 We'll keep them and a bucket brigade in stock.
Jas. Hook Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Reminds me of a tale I use to tell the young nieces and nephews... when you passed a farmers field and they have the hay rolls out and wrapped in white plastic... why that's where marshmellows are grown. Jas. Hook WRW - An incoming asteroid? "Born on an island, live on an island... the sea has always been in my blood." Jas. Hook "You can't direct the wind . . . but . . . you can adjust the sails." "Don't eat the chickens with writing on their beaks." Governor Sawney
William Brand Posted January 5, 2012 Author Posted January 5, 2012 An incoming anthracoid maybe. Anthracoid (ˈænθrəˌkɔɪd) adjective 1. resembling carbon, coal, or charcoal Word of the day...and probably the first and last time I'll ever use it, but I had a few minutes to kill.
Littleneckhalfshell Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 ummmm, I know that we are not really know for our exact use of the english language, (except for maybe Capt. Jack Sparrow, with his interest in words) but I couldn't help but notice that you used the 'word of the day' as a NOUN in your sentence, and the dictionary listing you provided for it (thankfully, or I would never have had an idea you were refering to the flaming marshmallow) shows the 'word of the day' to be an adjective! as in "An incoming anthracoid Marshmallow maybe." I like mine crispy anyway. An incoming anthracoid maybe. Anthracoid (ˈænθrəˌkɔɪd) adjective 1. resembling carbon, coal, or charcoal Word of the day...and probably the first and last time I'll ever use it, but I had a few minutes to kill. No Fear Have Ye of Evil Curses says you... Aye,... Properly Warned Ye Be says I
William Brand Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 And I see that we all had a few minutes to kill today. I am soundly corrected. I'll fetch something that's had a few minutes to kill since it was laid up eight years ago.
CaptainB Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Oh, I'll have a glass or three of that! "If I believed in fate, I wouldn't be playing with loaded dice..."
William Brand Posted January 6, 2012 Author Posted January 6, 2012 Now, regale us with tales of adventure.
Littleneckhalfshell Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Wonder what that would be like with Rum sauce? No Fear Have Ye of Evil Curses says you... Aye,... Properly Warned Ye Be says I
Jas. Hook Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Wonder what that would be like with Rum sauce? I guess like putting Vodka sauce on ravioli. Jas. Hook "Born on an island, live on an island... the sea has always been in my blood." Jas. Hook "You can't direct the wind . . . but . . . you can adjust the sails." "Don't eat the chickens with writing on their beaks." Governor Sawney
William Brand Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 I couldn't say, but today's special is pork medallions in chunky pineapple rum sauce...
William Brand Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 I know it's been over a year since I bothered, but I'm hungrier than I expected to be, at nearly one in the morning, and this looked very good. Morrocan Lamb bites with preserved lemon chutney and roasted garlic hummus.
Jas. Hook Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Yummmm... All of a sudden the Froggy Bread (French Toast) that I had for breakfast seems so inadequate. Jas. Hook "Born on an island, live on an island... the sea has always been in my blood." Jas. Hook "You can't direct the wind . . . but . . . you can adjust the sails." "Don't eat the chickens with writing on their beaks." Governor Sawney

The one, the only,... the infamous!
