William Brand Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 In case anyone is interested, tonight's special was, and still is, a simple beef steak.
Silkie McDonough Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 William, magnificent! Please ...medium rare please ...I am famished for a late meal. oooh and a good ...hmm ...can you recommend a wine?
William Brand Posted February 23, 2008 Author Posted February 23, 2008 I can recommend them all, but in small doses spread out over a week, but tonight I recommend the Cabernet Sauvignon. An elegant wine that relies primarily on the berry and cassis fruit characteristics of grapes which are enhanced by some sweet vanillin from American oak. A soft round palate makes this wine attractive for early drinking but with ample tannins to provide some cellaring potential. The balance of structure and fruit provides great flexibility with foods. I'm quoting someone else of course.
Silkie McDonough Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Oh William, Divine! Excellent choice! And my compliments on the steak to the chef, perfection! Nearly melts in my mouth!
Red Cat Jenny Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Miss Ashcombe comes in opening shutters and shaking the few sleeping forms whom have spent the night. She sends the help with brooms to sweep the kitchen and hearth and go fetch some kindling. Soon the smell of coffee fills the Kate and breakfast arrives. Something healthy after all the delicious steak the night previous. Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! My inner voice sometimes has an accent! My wont? A delicious rip in time...
Silkie McDonough Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Thank you Jenny. Nothing like starting the day with a good breakfast. I'll drink to that.
