Capt. Sterling Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 A regular pleasure yacht she be, what? "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
Red Cat Jenny Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Too kind sah...too kind.. may I have another slice of Key Lime? and perhaps some hot tea with lemon. Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! My inner voice sometimes has an accent! My wont? A delicious rip in time...
Jacky Tar Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 "A pleasure yacht? She's been on dry land fer sometime..." I spy an open table near the fire, an seat me self.
William Brand Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 A good inn caters to that comfort that one seldom finds outside of one's own bed, or one's mother's kitchen and one's grandmother's parlor all rolled into one. Me make patrons into kings and queens here, but with less ceremony.
Capt. Sterling Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Ah Mr. Tar, but what else can one compare her too? Surely no ship of the line nor working sloop can equal such frivolities. But an idler's yacht equipped for all too much comfort...now there be a horse of a similar colour... William Brand Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 The Tsunami Kate is a strange and wonderful diadem set among the rough stones of La Desirade. A crown jewel with a holy stoned luster that only an innkepper and a seven times Captain can truly appreciate.
Jacky Tar Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 "Ships are compared t' women, why not the Kate (she bears a woman's name). The Kate offers things conducive to pleasure and comfort, as well as food an drink. Aye, she is woman."
William Brand Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 Possessed of secrets, grace, allure and charm in equal portions.
Red Cat Jenny Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Miss Ashcombe smiles a knowing smile and pates the fine patina of the old gerls walls.. "agreed gentlemen...agreed" Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. By nature and by choice! A crown jewel with a holy stoned luster that only an innkepper and a seven times Captain can truly appreciate. Ah then that explains it... being captain only once of one fine vessel, tis hard for me to see an inn but for what it is, a means to an end.... still the food is grand and the company grander yet. Silkie McDonough Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Silkie hands some of the "warm crusty bread" that Jenny gave her to Syren.
William Brand Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 Too little Iron? Then I shall make you some spiced carrot and lentil soup and a loaf of malt bread.

Black Syren Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Thanks Silkie for the bread, smiles graciously at her captain, eyes Jenny's new offers and arches a brow then sees the pie.. "Desert first?" http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)
William Brand Posted December 20, 2007 Author Posted December 20, 2007 We do not stand on ceremony here concerning the order of food. Dessert it is.

William Brand Posted December 20, 2007 Author Posted December 20, 2007 You've never had blueberry pie...? The Tsunami Kate goes quiet within and without. The fiddler stops mid draw, the note souring. Only the fire can be heard as a single log pops on the hearth.
Black Syren Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Blushes and squirms...'Nay I have not...it seems there are a lot of things I have yet to do. Me thinks perhaps I should refind me rock..." http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/Dara286/trident01-11.png If you got a dream chase it, cause a dream won't chase you back...(Cody Johnson Till you Can't)
William Brand Posted December 20, 2007 Author Posted December 20, 2007 William looks about at the hushed patrons and fixes the fiddler with a stern look. "Play." "Don't worry, we'll get you a whole pie and a comfortable chair. You have a lot of catching up to do."
