So the Captain's work shall be put aside for a while... Miss Ashcombe sees to it that the tables are ready, ~ The candlesticks and good dishes are just so.. The hearth is being readied and the smells of roasting and baking fill the Kate to the rafters as it's still early, she selects a warm popover and a cup of strong Irish breakfast tea and heads to the parlour for a few moments respite..
