William Brand Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 Of all the things I wish I owned most, it is the Tsunami Kate. Sure, I would love a ship to sail everywhere around the world, but the stationary Kate...there is something about her. I just love the idea of an old frigate turned pub.
lady snow Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 i'm with you on that one, william. t'would be a really great place. i woould have to find an excuse (any would do) just to visit and partake of the fine eats and drinks! even in v irtual space it's a grand establishment. if they can make a hotel out of the queen mary, why not a pub from a frigate? ~snow with faith, trust and pixiedust, everything is possible if it be tourist season, why can't we shoot them? William Brand Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 If I had known that Pelican was in peril at the time I would have spared nothing to save her. Unfortunately she sank and was never salvaged. sigh. She would have made a great tsunami Kate.

CrazyCholeBlack Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 so what's special about flying fish? I've only had your standard Moose Club Friday Fish Fry fish before. "If part of the goods be plundered by a pirate the proprietor or shipmaster is not entitled to any contribution." An introduction to merchandize, Robert Hamilton, 1777Slightly Obsessed, an 18th Century reenacting blog
William Brand Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 It's different. If you've never had something then you should have it.
Red Cat Jenny Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 It's delicious. Like a favorite uncle, I have a friend from Barbados. His name is Sidney but he goes by Ray. He reminds me a bit of a Basian version of James Earl Jones. Ex Pan Am, ex Delta.. He comes over on Sundays with a heaping plate of flying fish, his latest flea market computer find and beans or rice .. and his airline stories start with things like ...We just landed in Riyadh... I love this man. He's a legend in my book. He introduced me to pickapeppa Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.... Her reputation was her livelihood. I'm a pirate, love. William Brand Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 The best burger I ever had, hands down, was in Key West in 2005. Mike and I both got the same thing off of the menu and agree, out of all the burgers he and I have eaten anywhere on the planet. That was the best burger ever. Meat candy.
