If you have pictures/links to paintings etc of what REAL early 18th C trim/braid looks like, post those as well. By that I mean the trimming that is seen around the button hole. lorien_stormfeather Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Check out the costuming on the film "Gulliver's Travels"- the newish one starring Ted Danson (Hallmark Home Ent). Beautiful and very correct period coats from what I've researched. Note the buttonholes were just for looks..... Fun movie too....
