Mick MacAnselan
I be lookin' fer a certain shirt of a pyratical bent. Red/Wine/Burgundy, anythin' roughly blood-like. 100% Cotton or other natural fabric. Tied or Buttoned cuffs (no elastic). Loose'n Billowy's good, but no sissy frills. Anyone know where t' find such a garment? (I bought one from chivalry sports (their "Lord's Shirt"), but it turned out to be a polyester blend... they had just changed the specs, but not the web site. Arrrrrrr.... very nice people though, full refund, shipping, etc.) Thankee. ---Mick MacAnselan The Dread Pyrate MacAnselan aka Mick

Desert Pyrate
Ye might try the 18th Century work shirt from Jas. Townsend. Then you could dye it whatever color ye be wantin'. I love mine, but make sure to remember that they run "tent-sized" as the lady on the phone told me. I wear a Townsend large very comfortably (not an XL), and I'm 6'4" and about 230 lbs. Bilgemunky
I've always found it hard to find "basic" items that look right to me, especially when I'm wanting to avoid elastics and such. I found these guys a while back. Haven't ordered from them yet, but they're at the top of my list: Fair Play They don't offer a red shirt, but they are 100% cotton with full sleeves and no frills. As has been stated elsewhere - you can always dye! I AM BILGEMUNKY
Scarlet Jenny
Ye might try Moresca's. Their Basic Shirt and Yoke shirt might be what yer lookin' for. They're a bit more expensive than some of the others mentioned ($55), but very nice and they come in several colors. Moresca's Avast, ye limey lubber! Didn't ye think if Scarlet Jenny (Cutthroat Lass, Scourge o' the Seas, Deadly Duchess o' the Deep) hated ye, ye'd be sliced, skinned an' sunk to Davey Jones' locker? Aaaar! Ye would, and ye'd better start believin' it
Mick MacAnselan
Thanks t' everyone fer the advice. The Faire Play "Highlander" shirt looks most like what I be lookin' fer. So I inquired about how t' order and hope t' find out soon. Moresca's Yoke shirt looks mighty temptin' too, but th' site be set up like a video game, an' there don't seem t' be a way t' stop th' scrollin' shirts on that one. (Ye can stop the other shirts, but not th' Yoke fer some reason. Ah well... it were fun tryin'.) An' Redd Oktober... what did ye mean by "Not implyin' anythin'"? There be somethin' I should know about International Male? I'll admit th' models on th' site look a wee bit left footed... ---Mick MacAnselan The Dread Pyrate MacAnselan aka Mick
Scarlet Jenny
Just a hint... At the Moresca site, if ye click skip intro, the video game stops! Click Catalogue, and then HTML at the top of the page, and you get a very still catalogue. Avast, ye limey lubber! Didn't ye think if Scarlet Jenny (Cutthroat Lass, Scourge o' the Seas, Deadly Duchess o' the Deep) hated ye, ye'd be sliced, skinned an' sunk to Davey Jones' locker? Aaaar!
