madPete Posted July 17 Posted July 17 Ye never know when ye might get a potential crewmate knocking on the door. So in between SlopsbyChaaps orders I've been working on some additional loaner gear. Most of this is made with recycled material, washed and stitched up just like new items. There is an assortment of sizes and most of the waistcoats will have a drawstring back to accomodate different builds. Trying to make these adjustable. When combined with Paul's and WIlliam's loaners we should have a pretty good loaner slops chest! There's also a couple of modern checked shirts with the collar cutdown to a band collar and covered with a waistcoat will be passable for newcomers. Aye... Plunder Awaits!

William Brand Posted July 17 Posted July 17 I picked up added stockings. We're building a nice collection of loaners.

So, I have the little black ankle boots I wore at conde I could throw in..they are passable at ten paces, but would either obviously need to be for any other women who join up, or men with excessively delicate feet lol. Otherwise....I unashamedly stole this graphic from an Elizabethan costuming group I am in. I know the style of latchet this replicates is a bit/largely outdated for our period but has the correct shape and general style, so I can keep an eye out on any of my thrift store quests to see if I can find anything like this to commit the experiment on

They looked close enough that people asked me where I bought them. They proved to be a very passable shoe that I used until I get the real thing.
